Hi!! I’ve been taking a little break, but I will continue with the daily updates this month :} hope you’re enjoying this story

{ Lunanci }
This little trip has been fun and even better than I ever thought possible, mostly because of Rio and how amazing he is. He takes me wherever I want, he does whatever I want and only complains about the smell or the crowds but never about me. His wolf hasn’t manifested physically again in all this time but I have talked to him.
Every night once Rio is deep asleep, I have my own time with Alpha, inside my head. The connection between us feels stronger every time and I know I should stop because he is very much in love with me, but I can’t. Even if I feel guilty, I can’t stop.
The words he says, the way he feels about me, the deep true love he sends at me… it’s magic. It’s the most wonderful thing I’ve ever felt, but I know it’s not real. The possibility of a wolf and a human being fated is nonexistent and I don’t know how, but I’m sure he’s wrong. I just know it.
I have been a little down about that, but when Rio decides it's time to go back to his clan I light up again. I’m so excited about it that I don't even mind leaving Toronto behind. I mean, it's been great and all, but I know what's to come will be a whole lot better.
I’m so excited I can’t even sleep, I spend the whole night talking with my Alpha and the next day we pack up our stuff after lunch and we hit the road.
"So, what's the plan?" I ask Rio over the music a few minutes later, unable to keep still or stay silent. Rio turns to me with panicked eyes, "You have one, right? I mean, where are we going first, Fallonmore or Tallahide?"
"I… I don't really know," he mumbles, turning down the volume, "My plan was to decide on the spot which option feels better."
"I think it would be smarter to have a game plan."
"Yeah, yeah," he says and falls silent like he's thinking about it, but I know him so well I know there are no thoughts behind those pretty eyes.
"How about we make a pros and cons list about each clan?" I offer.
"Okay, sounds smart. The biggest pro about Tallahide is that I don't know anyone there except for Laurie and Kingsley, so keeping a low profile will be easy. The cons are that I hate Laurie right now."
"Okay. And Fallonmore?"
"Pro... my grandpa is there and I can pitch him my new business idea. A con would be that everyone knows me there. Anyone could come up to me, smell that you're not a wolf and start a revolution to kill you in the chapel.”
"Mhh, so it sounds like Tallahide is a safer option, doesn't it? I mean, we can evade your cousin for a few days. And the clans are close to each other, we can go talk to your grandfather on the down low."
"Yes! Yes, you're right," he says with a smile, nodding, "So we go straight to Tallahide, we hide and on the meantime I talk to my grandpa. Then we see as we move, no?"
"Yeah, that sounds good for now," I agree and relax in the seat. So that's what we do.
We drive for almost eleven hours. I drive for a while just so he can’t complain about it later, but then Rio takes the wheel again and goes off-road, driving through the woods and scaring the shït out of me. It’s dark now and it looks like we’re in the middle of nowhere, but Rio assures me he knows where he's going. I choose to believe him because I really have no other choice, but thankfully, about ten minutes later, he finally enters another lighted road.
"What?!” he exclaims suddenly. There are patrols and some guards in the road, standing around like they're waiting for someone, "Why the fück are they here?"
"Well, I don't know," I answer, but Rio rolls his eyes at me. I know he wasn't really asking, but he's making me nervous, "Who are they? What are they?"
"Clan Security, but they're in the wrong clan," he grumbles and then I see the name 'Fallonmore' on the patrols. Rio has no choice but to slow down as we approach and then rolls down the window, "Hey, guys."
"Hey, buddy, what's up? You are... Alex?" asks the young guard who approaches the window. I’m freaking out a little about this random security check point, but the guy looks chill.
"Rio," he replies. The guy looks a little confused over this.
"Where were you? When did you leave?"
"I left a few weeks ago," he answers with annoyance, the guard continues to look confused, "Why are you guys here?"
"Daniel's is joining security," he replies, "We're all working in both clans. We’re mostly training Tallahide’s security because they suck ass.”
"Amazing," Rio mutters. He’s not happy about this, "Uh... so, is my uncle around?"
"Yeah, and your mom too," the guy immediately replies, "I told you, we're all working in both clans. It's like one big clan now, all of us traveling from place to place all the time."
"Great. So damn great," he mumbles, clenching his jaw, "Could you not mention to my mother that I'm here? I'm not on talking terms with her at the moment. You shouldn't mention my arrival to anyone, really, if you can help it."
"Huh,” the guy says looking thoughtful and he bents down a bit to finally turn his attention to me, "So... who's this?"
"This is my friend Lunanci, she lives in Laptidan,” he easily lies, "I'm going to show her my cousin's new clan and then I'll take her back home in a few days."
"Hmm, well... I'm going to help you out and I won't mention anything. I won't even register this arrival," he tells Rio and my friend nods with a smile, "But your friend is your responsibility, okay?"
"Of course, dude. But don't worry about it, she's harmless.”
"Okay then, have a good night," he says and walks away and waves the others off to clear the way.
"Thanks, Brian!" He says before driving again, "f**k my life."
"You know him?"
"Yeah, I know all the people my mom works with. This is going to be as annoying as Fallonmore," he grumbles again, shoulders tense with worried energy. I put a hand on his leg to make him feel better and I guess it works because he sighs and relaxes as we drive on and fully enter the clan.
The clan looks great, like the best part of Toronto, really fun and big city vibes, but without as much traffic or visual pollution. There are a lot of big houses and lots of open space. Everything is completely clean and well kept.
There are a lot of people walking around and I can't help but roll down my window to carefully observe everyone. They look normal and no one is in wolf form which is a bit disappointing, but still amazing. They all look extremely attractive, which I was kinda expecting because of the way Rio always calls all humans ugly. Mother Nature sure is nice to her people.
"The clan looks different... I guess Laurie was right, our family took complete control of his new clan."
"I mean, he's about your age, right? Who the hell would let someone that young run a whole clan? He'd ruin it in a week," I blurt out, not really understanding the politics of this place. Rio explained about the challenge Laurie won, but it still doesn't make much sense to me.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. But Laurie will be a good Alpha with time. He loves being of service and he’s always helping as much as he can. This is in his veins, he'll know how to step up."
"Uh-huh... but he's also evil," I add. Rio rolls his eyes and lets out a laugh.
"Of course he's not ev..." his laughter suddenly stops when he remembers he's mad at him now, "He's not evil but he is an ïdiot. Fücking secret keeping bïtch."
"Yeah, uh… so, where are we going specifically?" I ask, trying not very subtly to change the subject. I don’t want him to go on yet another rage fit about how mad he is with his cousin and his brother. He’s extremely butthurt.
"I'm guessing there's a hotel around here, at least a small one, so I'm looking for it."
"Werewolves travel a lot?" I ask, looking out the window again. I’m shaking with excitement.
"Mostly between clans, but yeah."
Rio keeps driving for a while and sure enough, there's a hotel in the busiest part of the clan. It's a big five-story building.
Rio parks his car and as soon as we get out, he takes a deep breath as if he's clearing his lungs. Honestly, now I get it, this place smells immeasurably better and I don’t even have heightened senses. It's almost unbelievable how free and natural the air feels, not to mention the precious energy I feel all around.
I love it here, I feel like I could...
"Shut the fück up!" Rio suddenly exclaims and I jump in fright but before I can ask him what's wrong, he puts a hand over my mouth and tries to drag me back as if he wants to hide us.
"Rio?" someone asks even though Rio is very clearly trying to get away and completely failing, of course, because this guy already saw us and is running towards us, "Rio! Hey!"
"Shut up, Phi!" Rio growls and lets go of me to grab the random guy and pull him until the three of us are hiding behind a car, "Are you here on your own?"
"Nope, my mom and dad are at the hotel, I just went for a little run," he explains and his light eyes move to me. Now I realize it must be his other cousin, Phoenix or Phi, but he doesn't look much like Rio, "Who is she? And why are you acting like this?”
"I don't want anyone to know I'm here!"
"Why? Everybody knows you're here, dude," the boy says with a weird laugh.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I don't know, man, you're freaking me out. I'm just saying everyone knows you're here," he says, shrugging, "Laurie says you and him are at the academy together? But you're mad at everyone so you've been completely radio silent."
"Oh... oh, yeah, right," Rio nods, "That's why I'm hiding, I don't want my parents to see me."
"But what did they do to you? What did the rest of us do to you?" he asks, "You and Alex went completely insane, what's going on? Is it drugs? Are you on drugs? Which kinds of drugs?”
"Of course I’m not on drugs. And Alex disappeared from the universe, I don’t know shït about him," Rio spits, rolling his eyes, "I'm just hiding because… well, I don't know why, so don't ask."
"Laurie knows, why can’t I? Dude, I'm almost sixteen now!" Phoenix complains.
"Still a little one, though."
"Not!" He spits, sounding like the kid he is, although he really doesn't look fifteen at all, he's almost as tall as Rio and his body is very… thick, "And who is she?”
"Just a friend. God, Phi, you always want to know everything, you're so annoying," Rio complains, exaggerating a bit, "Go back to your parents and pretend you didn't see me."
"Or what?" Phoenix asks, lifting his chest boldly, but Rio grabs the collar of his shirt and pulls him towards him.
"Or I'm gonna fücking punch your dïck out," he growls with clear power behind his words. Phi looks down helplessly but scowls as if he doesn't like being subdued and raises his fist to punch Rio's ribs. It looked hard, but Rio takes it like it’s nothing.
"Fück off. You're my least favorite twin," he complains before walking away. Rio rolls his eyes and turns to me again.
"This place isn't safe either," he complains and brings his hands to his head, clearly starting to panic.
