We can finally relax and not worry about something or someone after us. I knew we would most likely face more obstacles in the future, but for now, peace is welcome.
I felt as though a huge weight was lifted off of me the moment my powers transformed and distributed between the four of us. I still felt incredibly powerful but not overwhelmed. I have a feeling it was always meant to be this way. The four of us were always meant to be connected and help carry each other's burdens.
Stella was right; the act of marking Jordan created a new bond, but it was not like the one I shared solely with Caius. It felt like a strong family link. The fact that we all accepted it meant it caused no harm to my mark or bond with Caius. In fact, it strengthened it.
