The betrayal is what hit Kayla the most. She had not anticipated for Jordan to do this to her. She thought that she was helping him out but it turns out that this was a trap. He did not want to go to the police and he was willing to do all it takes to ensure that Kayla does not go to the police also.
Kayla knew that there is always a way out despite how difficult the situation is. She did not feel that all was lost. She had this idea that if she pushed him with all her strength, then he was going to fall and this would pave a way for her to run home and be with her mother who wanted to have a word with her.
