Ares's entire body shook harshly from anger, leaving Khione feeling worried. All her life she had been told that fox spirits were evil – even more so than rogues – however, she had never experienced the anger of one. Yet seeing Ares look completely overtaken by his anger, she was worried by what he would do. Not because he would hurt someone else, but rather because of how his actions would affect him.
"Ares," she breathed out, still holding tightly to his fisted hands, "please calm down!"
Ares's eyes were burning red now and he looked like he may really go and kill someone. Unsure of what to do, Khione did the first thing that came to her mind: she stepped forward and placed her lips upon Ares's.
It did the trick. Ares stopped shaking and his entire body calmed down, as if in relief
