Chapter Five: Frustrated

"He couldn't even reply my greeting" Anna huffed and sat down on her chair. The signal alarm rang so she stood up and went into Edward's office.

"Sir you called for me" Anna said.

"Go and make me coffee and I won't remind you to do that again" Edward said staring at her but she just rolled her eyes and went to the coffee table in his office. She took a mug, started making the coffee and when she was done she put in a tray and walked towards him with it.

"Sir here's your coffee" she informed him and dropped it on the table. He took the mug and sipped from it, "Why don't I play with her a little bit" he thought smirking, it immediately turned to a frown.

"I don't like it, go and make another one" he said and dropped the mug which made Anna frown.

"What's wrong with it" Anna wanted to ask but she decided against it and took the tray to the coffee table, she made another one and took it to him. He took a sip "It is too sugary, I don't like it" he said and Anna glared at him but still took the mug, she made another one and made sure there was less sugar. She took it to him and he drank from it.

"It is too bland" he smirked and Anna almost exploded but she calmed herself down and took the mug again to make another one. She kept making another one cause he was rejecting it and she exploded when she could not take it anymore.

"What is your problem huh? you keep complaining and telling me to make another one when there is absolutely nothing wrong with it" she yelled but he only smirked.

"Go and make me another one" he muttered nonchalantly and she nodded having an idea. She walked to the coffee table and poured coffee in the mug, she made the water extremely hot then she poured it into coffee and added a lot of sugar with a lot of milk and stirred it. "Now let's see who will win this game" she smirked and walked to him with the coffee.

"Here is your coffee" she smiled mischievously and Edward stared suspiciously at her though he took the coffee and drank out of it but he quickly spit it out.

"What the f**k is this" he yelled, his eyes blazing with anger.

"Sir what's wrong?" Anna asked like she had no idea of what just happened.

"Why is the water so f*****g hot and it's to sugary" he shouted, glaring at her.

"Oh it's hot? I didn't know, enjoy your coffee" she smirked victoriously and catwalked out of the office while Edward stared with his mouth agape.

"Did she just walk out on me?"

Outside The Office

Anna smiled as she sat on her chair , her phone rang and she took it, she checked the caller's name and when she saw it was Bianca her best friend, she picked.

"Hey girl" Anna said.

"Babe how are you doing?" Bianca asked from the other line.

"Am not fine" Anna replied.

"Huh, why?"

"It is my job" Anna frowned.

"What's wrong with your job? Wait don't tell me that you and your boss have not gotten along" Bianca chuckled.

"Unfortunately, we haven't, he has just been stressing me out" Anna ranted.

"You just have to manage" Bianca said and the alarm rang.

"Bianca I have to go now; he is calling for me" Anna said.

"Okay bye talk to you later" Bianca said and cut the call, the alarm rang again and Anna dropped the phone and walked into the office.

"What took you so long?" Edward asked immediately she entered.

"Errr...I did not hear the alarm when it first rang" Anna lied smoothly and Edward looked up.

"Take this files and sort it" he pointed at some files on the table, she nodded and took the files then walked out of the office to her desk, she sat on the chair and started working on the files.

Later, Anna checked the time on her phone and when she saw that it was already break she quickly finished what she was doing cause she was hungry and tired; Edward had given her more work after the one he gave her the other time.

She stood up and worked to the office, she knocked, "Come in" his cold voice said and she went in.

"Sir I'm done with what you asked me to do so I came to tell you that am going for lunch" She said.

"No" he muttered.

"No?"

"You can't go for lunch cause you still have work to do " Edward said without looking at her.

"But I'm tired and hungry, I will do the work after the break" she insisted.

"Well the work can't wait" he looked up at her and smirked when he saw the look on her face, she was looking so frustrated and he was pleased cause he wanted to make her pay for what she did in the morning.

"But..." She was saying but he cut her off "Or you can forget about your job"

Anna sighed, she can't possibly loose her job.

"Fine what do you want me to do?" she asked.

"Take these and mail it to the addresses on the paper" he stretched a paper to her and she collected it.

"I would go now" she said and walked out of the office tiredly to her desk, she started sending the mails.

6:12pm

"Finally" Anna muttered as she finished what she was doing. It was past closing hour and she is so exhausted, Edward kept giving her work to do and what she wants right now is to go home. She quickly shut down the laptop and was packing her things when a man walked to her.

"Good evening miss" he said and Anna looked at him.

"Evening, how may I help you?" She asked.

"Is Edward in?" he asked.

"Yeah"

"Okay am Lucas, his cousin and I guess you are his new assistant" he smiled.

"Yes I am"

"Your name if I may ask?" the guy called Lucas said asked.

"Anastasia " Anna replied and he nodded.

"Beautiful name you've got"Lucas smiled.

"Thanks"

"Okay I will go in now" he smiled and went to Edward's office and Anna went back to arranging her things.

"Hey cous" Lucas smiled when he entered the office, he sat on one of the chairs there.

"Why are you here?" Edward asked looking at him. Lucas wanted to reply but stopped when the door opened and Anna came in.

"Sir am going home" Anna told Edward.

"Okay" Edward simply replied and she started walking out of the office with Lucas staring at her. Edward cleared his throat and Lucas looked at him.

"Bro, you were asking me something" Lucas said.

"Yes, why are you here?" Edward asked again.

"Oh! I was just passing by and I decided to come see you and I must say you've got an hot assistant" Lucas grinned and Edward rolled his eyes.

"You have seen me, now can you leave" Edward said.

"Stop being so uptight, am leaving" Lucas said and stood up, he walked out of the office heading downstairs to the parking lot.

Anna was still outside the company, waiting for a vehicle but it seems she is not going to be seeing anyone now.

She was still waiting when a car pulled up in front of her and Lucas came out of the car and walked to her.

"Hey Anna, why are you still here?" Lucas asked.

"Am waiting for a cab" Anna replied.

"Let me give you a ride" Lucas said.

"No sir, it's fine" Anna refused.

"Come on, it's getting late and the rain would soon fall" Lucas said and Anna looked up at the sky, it was through cause the sky were already dark.

"Okay fine" Anna agreed and he smiled then opened the car door for her and she got in, he also went to the driver's seat and got in then he drove away.

Edward who was watching them from inside his car frowned as he watched the car drive away.

"Sir where to?" The driver asked.

"The mansion" Edward replied and the driver drove away.
