Melt My Heart Lady

"Holy Christ" Anastasia (Anna), shouted waking up from her sleep when water was poured on her. "Finally you are awake" Mrs Lucia, her mum said holding a bucket of water. "Mum don't tell me you did that" Anna said with wide eyes and stared at Mrs Lucia then to the bucket she was holding. "Well I did" Mrs Lucia Smirked. "Mum how could you do that" Anna yelled. "I will advice you to stop yelling and check the time" Mrs Lucia said and walked out, Anna moved her eyes to the clock "Oh my God" She screamed and rushed out of the bed to the bathroom, the time was 8:34am and the interview starts by 9pm. Minutes later she came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body, she walked to her wardrobe and took her already set clothes then put it on, she sprayed perfume on her body and tied her hair into a messy bun, took her bag and hurriedly walked out of her room. "Good morning Anna" Jasper, Anna's 13 year old brother greeted from the dining. "Morning" Anna replied walking towards the door. "Won't you eat breakfast" Mrs Lucia asked. "How can I eat when am already  late for the interview, you couldn't even wake me up" Anna rolled her eyes. "Yeah right, I could not wake you up when I had to pour a bucket of water on you in order to wake you up" Mrs Lucia smirked. "Whatever! Goodbye and wish me luck" Anna said and walked out of the house to the road. She saw a cab coming so she waved at the cab and the cab stopped in front of her. "Where to?" The driver asked. "Alejandro groups" Anna replied since the company was really popular. "Okay get in" the driver said. "Okay" Anna entered and the driver drove off. Some minutes later the driver stopped at the front of the company and Anna paid him his money then rushed into the company that she almost fell but she was quick to balance herself. "Good morning, you are welcome to Alejandro Groups" the receptionist greeted Anna politely when she got to her. "Good morning, hmm..am here for the interview" Anna said. "Okay but you are late, really late" the receptionist said. "I know" Anna forced a smile and scratched her hair. "Okay, the 15th floor ; that is where the interview is taking place" the receptionist smiled. "Okay thanks" Anna smiled and rushed to the elevator, she pressed a button and the elevator opened and she got in, thankfully nobody was there so she pressed the 15th floor button and  waited for the elevator to stop. Seconds later the elevator stopped and she walked out, looking around she saw some people sitting in front of an office so she walked to them. "Hi, please is this where the interview is taking place" she asked a lady that was sitted. "Yeah" the lady smiled. "OK thanks" Anna smiled and sat down beside the lady when a lady came out of the office with tears in her eyes, took one last glance at the office then  walked away. "Why was she crying" Anna was thinking when another lady walked out of the same office. "Anastasia Gregory" the lady called and Anna snapped out of her thoughts then answered "Yes" "Come with me" the lady said and walked back in, Anna took her bag then followed her in. "Gosh, what a handsome guy" Anna thought dreamily looking at Edward who was sitting gracefully on his chair with a cold look but she was quick to snap out of her thoughts so she greeted him. "Morning sir" Anna greeted Edwardbut he only ignored her. "Let's get to business,  from the C.V you submitted online, it says that you are a graduate of Business Administration " the lady who called her in said. "Yes" Anna replied. "Okay so if you get employed what do you think you can do for this company " the lady asked. "OK so.... " the interview went on with Edward and the lady asking question. Some minutes Later. "Okay you can go and we  will call you if you eventually get employed " She said. "OK thanks " Anna said and walked out of the office  to the elevator. Back In The Office "Sir what do you think of her" the lady asked. "Tell everyone  to leave and that girl  that just left here, she is employed " Edward said and stood up. "Okay sir" "What is next on my schedule " Edward asked. "You have a meeting with Starlights Enterprise" she replied. "Okay, after this meeting cancel everything on my schedule for today " Edward said and walked out of the office to his own office. Sitting down he massaged his forehead gently. "That girl, she is quite good" he muttered. **** Anna was waiting patiently for a cab to take her to her mum's store,  "I pray I get this job" Anna muttered then she saw a cab coming towards her direction so she waved for the cab to stop and it stopped in front of her, she told the driver where she was going and entered. Minutes later,  the cab stopped, Anna got down from the car and payed the driver then started walking towards her mum's store which on it was boldly written "Lady Lucia's Store" "Hi mum" Anna said to her mum when she got in. "Hmm you are here, did you get employed" Mrs Lucia asked. "No, they said they will call me if I get employed" Anna replied. "Well that's their problem, so please help me arrange those goods on the shelf" Mrs Lucia pointed at some goods on the floor. "Ok" Anna replied and dropped her bag then set to work. When she was done some customers entered so she went to the counter and started attending to them. "Hey Reed" Anna smiled at a young boy of about nineteen year old. "Hi Anna" the guy called Reed replied. "The usual?" Anna asked cause he is a regular customer. "Yeah" Reed nodded and Anna brought four cans of soda then handed it to him. "Thanks" He replied and gave her the money for the soda then walked out and she started attending to other customers. 2:15pm Anna sighed and took a pack of biscuit from the shelf and was almost opening it when Mrs Lucia snatched it from her "Mum" she whined. "If you want to eat something, go home and eat but don't eat my goods" Mrs Lucia snapped. "But mum have been working since and am so hungry" Anna pouted. "Then go home and find something to eat not what am selling Mrs Lucia smirked and Jasper, Anna's brother walked in. "Good afternoon mum, Anna" He greeted as he sat down on one of the chairs in the store. "Afternoon son,  how was school" Mrs Lucia rubbed his hair. "It was fine and am hungry" Jasper frowned. "OK take this" She gave him the biscuit that Anna wanted to eat. "Mum!" Anna yelled. "What!" Mrs Lucia snapped. "That was the biscuit I wanted to eat but you said you won't give me and now you are giving it to him" "Can't you see he is just coming back from school and he is obviously hungry" Mrs Lucia said. "Really hungry" Jasper added and opened the biscuits then threw one piece in his mouth. "He won't eat alone then" Anna smirked and walked to him with the thought of grabbing it from him. "Fine! take your own" Mrs Jones  said. "Awwwwn mum you are the best" Anna smiled and pecked her cheek then walked to the shelf and took another pack. "You children won't  kill me someday" Mrs Jones  shaked  her head, took her book and pen then started taking stock of her goods.
