Chapter LI
Carolina It’s the Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend. My family was so enamored by Elijah that they insisted that we meet spend Black Friday with them shopping and stay over the rest of the weekend. After Thanksgiving dinner, Elijah and I went back to the penthouse to sleep. The next morning we woke up early, packed our bags and went back to my parents’ house. The weekend was like a dream. My brother seems to admire Elijah. The two spent the whole weekend joking around and bonding. And once he found out Elijah worked in business, he all but became star struck because starting a business is something he’s interested in doing. My parents approve of Elijah, too. Mom couldn’t stop making comments about when he was going to propose already. She doesn’t know how close she is to the truth
