Carolina A small smile crawls on my face as I shake my head at the sight of an expensive bottle of wine on the counter with a bouquet of autumn flowers. They’re lying beside the pie and casserole dishes I prepared last night. “Elijah, I told you. You didn’t have to buy anything. I already made what we’re responsible for bringing tonight,” I say as I smooth down the knee-length navy knitted sweater dress that I have paired with skin toned tights and knee high dark brown leather boots. My curls are out and look nice and bouncy tonight.
