Carolina I wince as I see the small, brightly glowing small object jet through a stand of dumbbells. That’s the second time today, which is an improvement if you really think about it. “You weren’t maintaining your breathing,” Anastasia scolds, “Just because you have control in the moment doesn’t mean you can slack off. Don’t forget, you have been gaining control because you’re following the technique. Don’t get lazy and maintain it. Now, start again.” I frustratedly nod at her and trudge over to where the training coin lay on the floor. I know she’s right. After our first session, Anastasia taught me controlled breathing techniques to help calm my mind and body enough for me to stay in control. She says staying calm helps me focus on the right emotion or memory that triggers my magic.
