“Oh, this is nice!” Michael exclaimed as he sat back in his chair and looked around with a wide smile on his face. Kay couldn’t help but smile a little more every time he would see him like that. “I used to come here with my friends before but I only ever ordered coffee. Although I did often hear that their waffles are great,” Michael continued. It was the first part of their date, and knowing Kay, he knew that the best place to take him—especially during that day—was at a café that served waffles and ice cream, Kay's comfort food.
“You remember your friends now? From university?” Kay asked.
“Yeah, I did just this morning. It’s all still kind of hazy, but in my head it’s like I’m living two different lives, you know?”
“I can’t even imagine the feeling,” Kay muttered. He had already felt
