Twenty-One The lights in the work area were on but nobody was in. I could only presume that meant Felicity was inside the enclosure itself, probably keeping Kiki company. She was dedicated like that. A glance through the window confirmed Felicity was inside and I made my way over, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn’t know why but coming here tonight felt like a confession of sorts. That I liked her so much that I’d skipped out on the Griffin Ball for her. I paused by the gate to the enclosure, uncertainty making me waver. Since Felicity hadn’t noticed me yet, I watched her for a moment while she played with Kiki. “Catch.” Felicity tossed a bean across the enclosure.
