"We were sent here to take you back to where you rightfully belong, master", they replied.
Micheal stared at them in shock and disbelief. Who were these people? What were they talking about and why did these strange men call him Master? So many thoughts rushed through Michael's head.
"Who are you guys and what are you talking about?", Michael questioned.
"We'll explain everything you, but please come down from there first", one of the men replied with a cautious tone.
Micheal had completely forgotten that he was about to take his own life because the men interrupted him. He released the rope from his neck and slowly came down.
He was even more surprised when one of the men rushed to help him down. He noticed how these men treated him with respect but couldn't understand why.
After coming down, he remembered the locket that had fallen from his pocket earlier on. He bent down to search for it and after finding it he shoved it inside his pocket and made a mental note to inspect it later.
"I'm ready to hear your explanation now", Michael spoke after he had brushed off the dirt on his body. He was determined to get answers and he wasn't going to let them push him around.
The men glanced at each other, as if they were looking for who would come forward to explain the situation to Micheal.
"We are not in the best position to give you the answers you seek.", one of them finally spoke, "We were only asked to pick you up. But rest assured, you will get your explanation if you follow us."
Micheal found the whole situation suspicious. A group of large men in suits asking him to follow them to an unknown location was way too suspicious for Michael.
But the way they treated him with respect and caution cancelled out the thought of being kidn*pped by them from Michael's mind. Their respectful manners made him even more curious about what was happening.
After much thought, Micheal finally gave them a response.
"Ok, I'll follow you", he replied.
He had thought out everything and the men didn't seem to be bad people, but if they were bad people, Micheal didn't mind either. Since he already wanted to die, he would have no regrets if these men were to kill him.
"Alright then. Please follow us, Master", the man beamed.
The men led Micheal to a line up of five cars. They directed him into one of the cars while observing the environment, before they entered the other cars.
As the car drove to an unknown destination, Micheal couldn't help to inspect the car in awe. He didn't know much about cars but he knew for sure that the car he was in was extremely expensive.
The expensive car only made him more curious. Where were they taking him to? And who was he to meet there? He may not know who he was going to meet, but he could tell that they were part of the elite.
They arrived at their destination moments later and one of the men in suits proceeds to open the door for Michael. He still couldn't get used to how they treated him.
He stepped out of the car and is met with a huge mansion. Just one look at the house and he could already tell that the person he was going to meet was overflowing with money.
While he was still held in a trance by the splendour of the house, one of the men in suits signal him to enter the house and follow him.
The mansion was also very impressive on the inside. Micheal 's eyes were so focused on the house that he almost got lost.
The man led him into an office and told him to sit, while he served tea to Micheal before leaving.
He sat in the office alone, waiting to see his fate. The more he saw, the more confused he became. Why would the owner of such a luxurious mansion look for him? It didn't make any sense to him.
Micheal stood from his chair and looked around the office. As he looked around, he found a small locket on the office table. The locket looked oddly familiar.
He was suddenly reminded of the locket he kept in his pocket. He took out his locket and placed it beside the one on the table.
Both lockers looked strangely identical and they even had the same "H" inscription on it. This discovery only leaves Michael even more confused. Was it a coincidence that both lockets looked exactly the same?
He stays there, lost in thought for a while, but is brought back to reality when he hears the door open. He hurriedly stuffs the locket into his pocket.
"Micheal..... Are you Micheal?", a young woman asks as she walks through the door.
"Y-yes, I'm Micheal", he stuttered, "Who are yo_"
Before he could even find the sentence, the woman rushes to Micheal and holds him in an embrace.
"Mikey, is that really you? I can't believe I've finally found you after so long", she sobbed, "Where have you been all this time?"
"Wait.. excuse me, I don't know who you are.", Micheal responded. He was even more confused that he was before. Who the hell was this woman? And why did she speak to him so fondly, as if they knew each other?
"What do you mean?", the lady beckoned, "Mikey, it's me".
Now Michael couldn't understand why she sounded so confused.
"I'm sorry lady, but I don't think I've me you before", he said while pulling away from her embrace.
"You don't remember me?", she asked, looking more perplexed.
"I think I would remember if I'd previously met you, but I don't know who you are", he responded.
"Micheal", she spoke more seriously this time, "How could you forget your own blood?"
"Are we related or something?" He asked
"Mikey, I'm your sister, Callista"
