I sat grudgingly on the leather worn out seats my mind replaying what just happened between I and my father. My dad suddenly bursted into my office earlier this morning demanding that I hand over the construction contract over to him. I mean the effrontery got him to think he still owned me and my decisions..
I was the CEO and president of Cartel Corporations goddamit!. He doesn’t have the right to walk into my office to tell me what and what I can’t do. He lost that chance five years ago when he kicked me out of his company.
I loosened my tie, taking deep breaths my eyes meeting that of my best friend. Caleb was my best friend and business partner, I’ve known him for as long as I can remember and I never took decisions without his opinion on them. After the clash I had with my father this morning, Caleb suggested that we go to this cafe at the farthest part of town to cool off.
Apparently they served good coffee.
“Relax jack, it’ll be fine.. Your dad’s just exasperated that he didn’t get that contract on time.. Don’t let his words get to you” Caleb said his voice sounding soothing.
“It’s just he f*cking annoys me bro, I mean it’s not my fault the investors thought my idea made more sense than his but noo, the old man couldn’t just accept the damn truth that he lost!” I said getting angry all over again..
“It’s okay bro, just relax and have some coffee..”he answered his voice sounding distracted.
I turned to look at him only to find his eyes deeply staring at someone or should I say a girl. She was a brunette, she was pretty but I bet if she took more care of herself she’ll be smoking hot but I bet that was the least of her problems.
“Did you really bring me here to have some coffee or to drool over the waitress?” I asked giving him a teasing look
“Of course not, what makes you think that I like her” he answered with a nervous scoff
I have a smirk to that answering him “Probably it’s because your eyes have been on her ever since we walked in here”
“Okay, you caught me.. I kinda have a thing for her” he answered with a mischievous smirk
“Wow, since when?” I asked intrigued by my best friend’s taste in women
“Since I started drinking coffee here, she’s like so hot man and she doesn’t even realize it” he said admiring her more
I turned my eyes to look back at her and immediately our gazed locked and I felt this pull to kiss her breathless. She raised an eyebrow probably wondering why I was staring at her and I gave a smirk to her boldness.
Caleb’s right, she’s hot but just not my type.
“Do you know her name?” I asked him
“No, everytime I try to ask she never stays for like 2secs after delivering her coffee.” He answered
“Hmm, that must suck”
“Yes it really does” he replied.
My phone started to ring to see that I was getting a call from Stephanie. Steph was my new “girlfriend”. I met her at a private club and we hooked up and it was one of my best nights. She’s f*cking good in bed and really knows her stuff but lately she’s been getting really annoying and clingy..
Trying to milk the fact that after our amazing s*x she was emotionally bounded to me which can never happen because I don’t do relationships.. Tried it once and it ended really badly..
Almost cost me my life.
I immediately switched off my phone not in the mood to talk to her, maybe if I don’t answer her she’ll give up and stop bothering me.
“Hi good morning, what would you like to order?”
A very soothing voice asked causing me to look up from my phone into deep brown eyes. It felt like I was sinking in her pretty eyes as we just stared at each other already feeling the heat pooling in between us.
“I’ll have a milk latte, jack?” Caleb’s voice said snapping me out of my trance
“I’ll just have an espresso, black and no sugar” I answered
“That’ll be thirty five dollars please” she said with a small smile on her face causing the blood in my body to rush to my c*ck.
What in the world was this girl doing to me?!
I brought out a hundred bill handing it to her, her hands outstretched to reach for it and then our fingers touched and we both felt the shock. She immediately redrew her hand in shock looking over to me with so much emotions pulling in her eyes, but I could clearly see the lust in them.
I subtly licked my lips removing my eyes from hers, her eyes trailing slowly to my lips.
“I’ll get your coffee” She said nervously about walking off when I called her back
“Wait!”
“Yeah?” She asked
“What’s your name?” I asked holding her gaze
“Uhn?” She said confused to why I asked for her name,while Caleb just looked at the both of us in confusion
“Your name?” I repeated
“Lizzy” she answered and went back to the counter to make our coffee
“There, now you know her name” I said to my best friend with a shrug.
“Lizzy, such a pretty name.. it totally suits her don’t you think?” He asked with a smile on his face causing me to smile too.
“You really have it bad bro” I muttered turning my head to look at lizzy one more our eyes meeting again before she nervously looked away.
She totally can feel the attraction.
