I gave my my best friend a wide bright smile walking her out the door. Charlotte was going home for some days for her sisters wedding which meant she would be back on the weekends, I was going to miss her so much.
I kept pushing her towards the door she was so difficult. She stopped walking turning to me she looked me in the eyes, “Are you okay Ruby? Like really okay?” she had been asking me that question lately, and my answer was always okay but nothing was okay.
