“No.” I sigh, patting her scales. Yes, I sound as pathetic as ever and I am painfully aware of it. Ever since the day at the club, Evadne has been avoiding me, if she sees me in the hallway, she scurries away as quickly as possible and she won’t even talk to me, one time I tried speaking to her but she hurriedly told me formally that she had some student’s papers to grade.
