The people inside the hall are murmuring and as the Grants made their entrance, the air grew heavier. They are really too impossible to ignore. My gaze flicked toward Luke as he walked in. He’s always calm, composed, looks very professional. For a moment, his eyes found mine, steady and unreadable. I forced myself to look away. Whatever happened last time was irrelevant now. The judge entered, bringing the courtroom to silence. After the formalities of our oath, he gestured toward me. "You may proceed, Ms. Lopez."
