Spirit of vengeance

Henry's heart raced as he stood in the busy cafe, waiting patiently for the arrival of Stella. The excitement and the anticipation of seeing her again flowed through his veins, a feeling he had not felt in a long time. He couldn't believe how quickly she had captured his heart, how easily she had become the source of joy in his life. Just as Stella walked in, her radiant smile lighting up the room, Henry's breath was now caught in his throat. She was even more beautiful than he remembered, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she walked slowly towards him. '' Henry,'' she said, her voice a pleasant flow of sweetness. '' I'm happy you could meet me here today.'' Henry smiled, feeling a surge of happiness at the sight of her. '' I wouldn't miss it for the world, Stella. You look very stunning as always.'' As they both settled into their seats and began to talk, Henry felt a sense of contentment wash over him. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly at ease, as he finally found his missing rib in Stella. But as their conversation turned to plans for the evening, a chilling voice out of nowhere cut through the air like a sharp knife. '' Well, isn't this view interesting? Look who we have here if it isn't Henry, the same man who broke my heart.'' Henry's blood ran cold as he turned to see Rita standing right there before them, with a wicked grin on her face. Rita, his ex-love, the woman who had once held his heart in her hands and crushed it without showing mercy. '' Stella, this is Rita my ex-lover'' Henry said, his voice accompanied by tension. '' Rita, this is Stella.'' Rita's eyes narrowed as she looked at Stella, a calculating gleam in her eyes as she gazed. ''Ah, the new sensation of your love life, Henry, I see. How charming...hmmmh.'' Stella's smile faltered, a flicker of uncertainty crossing her features. She could sense the animosity between Henry and Rita, the unspoken history that hung heavy in the air. With Rita taking a seat at their table, Henry's mind raced and was now filled with emotions. He knew Rita was in trouble, that her presence could only spell catastrophe for his waxing relationship with Stella. But there was a part of him that couldn't deny the inseparable pull of their past as well as the passionate connection they shared together. The tension between the three of them was visible like a storm on the horizon waiting to strike. Henry could feel the weight of Rita's gaze on him, the unspoken challenge in her eyes. He knew immediately that trouble was brewing, that the calm facade they had all been clinging to was about to shatter into a million pieces. As Henry was about to speak, a loud deafening sound echoed through the cafe, sending everybody present, including regular patrons, scrambling for cover. A glass shattered on the floor, its shards glinting in the dim light. At that moment, Henry knew that the burning flame of peace that was lit with Stella was about to be extinguished.
