♡Its a brand new day and I'm feeling good- Brand new day[Demi Lovato]♡ °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° STAR. I stared down at my uniform, one that my aunt had pressed to perfection and then at the adorable black flats on my feet which was also a present from her. The wine coloured skirt was tight at my waist and flares down to above my knees where my thigh-high stockings accentuate my tall legs. My white button-down shirt was tucked into the skirt’s high-waist. A wine coloured ribbon snaked around my neck like a dainty tie. I also wore the obligatory school jacket on which the school’s golden symbol was engraved; a shield and a crown. My curly hair that danced in between brown and gold fell in a fluffy way down my back, reaching my torso. I went out of my way by applying a bit of makeup. The mascara enhanced my eyelashes and brought out my emerald eyes. The place was crowded with kids heading to wherever they need to go. I noticed a few watching me, their gazes doing nothing to me, it wasn't really unusual. I looked to my side, noticing how eeringly quiet and unnerved Penny was since we got dropped off by aunt Sharon few minutes ago. Students laughed when we got off the car and I knew it was because of the old car and funny sounds it made so I didn't care. The school was large and luxurious looking. It was as if we stepped foot onto polished golden floors. A double staircase stood before me, attached to a wide balcony with intricately carved iron balusters. The ceilings were the highest I’ve ever seen and the furniture was sparse but expensive looking. Chandeliers are suspended from the ceiling, their crystals sparkling across the walls and bouncing off the expensive jewelry most of the students who had one or two on. The marble floor was so polished that I could practically see my reflection. The hallways were dark marble floors and white walls, not a hand print or scuff mark anywhere. The doors are a glossy black, numbered with silver digits that match the globe shaped handles. It wasn't just the materials though, it was also the dimensions, it all screamed elegance. "This is mindblowing!" I let out, mesmerized. I never thought there were schools like this, built like some sort of Palace or the white house. "Well, welcome to the Nobles School." Penny simply said. "Nobles indeed, they really took that name very personal, didn't they? Cos this is really noble in every way." I replied, still shocked at the extravagance. I followed Penny as she walked, and soon we were in a huge hall with beautiful and well arranged unique seats. "Where's this?" I questioned. "The assembly hall, students meet here every morning before classes. Let's find somewhere good to seat." She explained, proceeding to seat somewhere at the back. "Uh... we came early, why don't we use our privilege and just sit at the front seats?" I asked with a shrug. "Well, cos they are reserved, duh. Nobody sits on those chairs, they belong to a specific set of people." "So what happens if I sit there? I get suspended? There are equal rights in the world now, Penny. There's nothing like a specific set of people, sit your ass down!" I said as I took my seat on the front row, dragging her down with me. She looked very uncomfortable and if I wasn't mistaken, scared too and I didn't understand why. "They don't flog here, do they?" "What?... hell no? That's so backwards, who would they flog? These rich kids, that's not even possible." She replied, looking at me like I had just asked the most ridiculous question ever. "Well, you're looking so scared like someone is going to come up here and beat your ass up, so please, relax, will you?" "You don't get... you know what, never mind. Uh... I'll be right back, uh, I need to uh... go see some of my friends over there." She said before quickly rushing off to God knows where. I shrugged and kept looking around my environment. Laughter sounded along the halls, joined with excited conversations and shouts. Model worthy girls perch at a side like exotic birds, gossiping and giggling, a football fly’s above their heads between two jocks in varsity jackets parading their toned muscles. Groups of high schoolers sit around the large room laughing and causing all kinds of ruckus, all except one group that sit silently staring at laptop screens with massive headphones which appear to be permanently strapped to their heads. A breath of air brushed my ear; I followed the breeze and saw a blue striped paper plane gracefully gliding through the air before sliding across the tiled hall to stop with its nose against the wall, very faraway from me. The hall was very large afterall. A girl walking right past me to the same part of the hall Penny had ran to caught my attention. Kicking her right leg forward and then her left following suit with pointed toes and flexed calf muscles, the dark haired girl pivoted in a revolving whirl of sharp precision and accurate grace. She looked like she wanted this as badly as she wanted to breathe. The entirety of her being began advancing in movement with purposeful clarity and absolute control. With each poised stride she took, it became crippeling obvious just how demanding and rigorusly punishing the practice of this sequence had been on her body. It was like she was making some stupid entrance for people, it looked way too forced. When she walked past, everyone stared at her as if she was a celebrity and when she got to the same corner that had the model worthy girls gossiping like birds, it didn't take much knowledge for me to immediately know that she possessed some kind of popular girl power. "Oh, you've got so much nerves showing up for this semester, fatty. Do you not have any shame, have you not learned enough lessons already? And girls, is it just me or did the fatty get even fatter and ugly?" The same girl said in the most demeaning and judgemental voice ever. I couldn't see who it was that they were making fun of because she seemed to either be bending or kneeling at their center and it was not close enough to tell. Frankly speaking, these kind of girls were practically in every school and they get on my damn nerves with their bullying and mean selves. "Oh, she got fatter alright, at this point, she'll probably die of obesity in no time, it's pathetic." Another squirky voice chipped in. "Oh, look, she brought one of those smelly lunch of hers to school, as usual." The girl that walked past me said as she opened what looked like a flask and then started to empty it on the victim's head, "guess mommy still can't afford to pay for the Nobles' meals. Why even try at all? If I were you, I'd have killed myself during the break, I mean wouldn't you be doing the world a huge favour that way? You'll be able to finally get that cheap fame that you want..." Okay, that's it! That's the part where I step in and stop this nonsense since everybody had decided to stand by and act like it was a freaking circus show or movie scene, nobody deserves to hear such mean words for any reason. "Hey!" I shouted as I stood up and started to walk towards the scene with confident strides while eyes seemed to leave the bullying scene and follow my movement instead but on getting closer to them, I got the biggest shock of my week. "Penny?"
