Luna Layla is hugging me, oh my goddess, this hug is consuming me!! Why am I crying? Her hug was inviting and welcoming and all sorts of comforting. I don’t know when the last time my mother hugged me like this, actually, she’s NEVER hugged me like this. Luna broke the hug and looked at me with tears in her eyes and I starting crying all over again.

“My dear child, please don’t cry. Have a seat, I have a few things to discuss with you but first tell me what’s happened with your pack”

I couldn’t get the words out “Jack, wanted. My parents.. I, can’t, I don’t”

“It’s okay Alyra, take your time sweetie”

Why is she being so nice to me? She doesn’t even know me. I’ve never met her before, Nanny G said she was special and had a gift from the goddess but she never told us what it was. Could she be one of those psychics? Can she read my mind? Oh goddess. Give me something!

“Al, she needs to hear it from you, she already knows what’s happened. She’s a seer. I feel at home here that smell is intoxicating. She can’t accept us into her pack unless you ask”

Mae wasn’t making sense, what is a seer? I’ve never heard of that before. Mae sent me some calming energy and that smell, made me feel so light headed. How much cinnamon do they use here?

“Errr, Luna, I don’t know where to start”

“Call me Layla, how about you tell my why you left your pack?

“My parents had an arrangement with our Alpha. They were going to force me to choose Jack as my chosen Mate! He said he was going to take my virginity whether I liked it or not and mark me!! I couldn’t let them do that to me so I ran away. Nanny G always spoke of her pack, Black Moon, and she always said you were so kind and loving. I just didn’t know where else to go.”

“My sweet girl, ive been waiting for you for 3 years. Nanny G is no longer with us, i expect Mila and Jesse to be here shortly too however I see an alternate path for Mila. I hope she chooses wisely”

“My wolf says you are a seer? What does that mean?”

“I can see all future paths of every wolf in my pack. Every single path I see, you are in it, you belong here my dear child. I want to welcome you officially into our pack tonight, but first, there’s someone I’d like you to meet”

“Layla, can you tell me if my parents are my real parents?”

“Alyra, I am not sure you want to go down that path just yet, there’s so much I need to discuss with you and we have plenty of time. Everything will start to make sense, just give yourself time. Right now we need to accept you into our pack before your eyes turn red”

“I promise you I will earn my keep here, do you have any jobs in the kitchen? I’m a good cook.”

“My dear, you will have an special job just for you, time is all you need right now” she gave me a cheeky smile and winked! She was the most beautiful Luna I have ever met and the most down to earth. What is this place? Nanny G always said this is where your dreams come true. Right now all I can think of is that smell. “Do you think I could try some of the cinnamon scroll your cook is making? That smell is making my tummy rumble and I havnt eaten all morning”

Her eyes lit up and was laughing, why is she laughing at me! “Your Cinnamon Scroll is on its way” she continued to laugh and waved the guard out of her office. I could hear someone running and the smell was getting closer! Mae was agitated and jumping around making me even more light headed. “Mae stop jumping around what is wrong with you?”

“He’s here, he’s coming!! That smell.”

“Who’s here?” And then it hit me! That smell is .. is, my mate?

He growled “mine” and picked me up as my head spun and everything went pitch black.

*** Joel’s POV ***

I could feel my heart tugging, Ray was screaming for me to go faster. What the hell is this feeling? I got a whiff of mangoes and knew Charlotte was close, 3 warriors welcomed us and as soon as that door opened an intoxicating scent of Mangoes hit me and I looked up to see Charlotte standing on the top of the staircase

“Mine”

I reached her and grabbed her smelling her sweet scent, is this a dream? I kissed her until I couldn’t breathe. Her eyes were sparking and her touch sent electricity through my whole body. I couldn’t get any words out I was all choked up for once! She threw herself onto me and I started running for her room. Oh s**t, Alyra. I shouted “I’ll be back, start without me” but I knew it was going to be a long time before I was done mating with this goddess.

Charlotte was crying saying this is her dream come true.

“Charz, you are mine. MINE!”

It was hours before I realised I had to find Alyra. I explained to Charlotte what had happened and she promised me everything would be ok and her mum would accept her into the pack! We made our way downstairs to the Luna’s office hoping to find Alyra still there but she was gone.

“I didn’t think I’d see you both here so soon” “Luna, my name is Joel Beard of the Hidden Valley Pack. I am your daughters mate. I hope you can forgive me for my rude entrance today”

She smiled and tilted her head, “and I see you have marked each other? Are you happy Charlotte?”

“So happy Mumma I’ve loved Joel since we met last summer, will daddy be upset with me?”

“Well he doesn’t have a very nice opinion of Joel since he broke your heart, but he will be happy for you baby girl”

My heart dropped as I heard Alpha Leo enter the room. “What is the meaning of this? What are you doing here?” Charlotte stood in front of me to defend me. My gorgeous girl makes me proud to be her mate. “Daddy, Joel is my mate. Please don’t hurt him, I’m happy, he completes me”

“Alpha Leo, I’m sorry for how I handled our past but I swear to you my loyalty to Charlotte. I love her. I will do everything in my power to protect her”

“You better not hurt my princess, I’ll be talking to your brother about accomodations for my daughter. We have much to discuss! Now get out of here, I have business with my Luna” and he wiggled his eyebrows. Awww he’s so whipped after all these years.

Where the hell was Alyra? I tried calling her phone but she didn’t answer. Charlotte was laughing. She had the most amazing laugh I’ve ever heard and then she was being mischievous telling me to follow her. We got down the other end of her wing, this looked like her brothers room. “Why are we here? Isn’t this your brothers suite?” She nodded and had that mischievous look again!

“Charz, why are we here?” As she knocked on the door.

“GO AWAY CHARZ”

“Oh but big brother, are you not going to introduce us to your mate?”

NO WAY! Was Alyra his mate? This can’t be? The door cracked open and Charlotte pushed the door opened and sitting on the couch was Alyra.
