Elle’s POV By Thursday, things had shifted. Just a little, but enough for me to notice. Jordan wasn’t looking at Victoria the same way anymore. His voice, his eyes, something had changed. It wasn’t distrust yet, but it was the beginning of it. And that was exactly what I wanted. I didn’t rush it. That’s not how you win. That morning I went to work early again.
