VICTORIA POV Jordan was quieter that morning. He sat at the breakfast table flipping through the news on his tablet, but I could tell his mind wasn’t there. I watched him from across the table while stirring my coffee slowly. Every time he looked at me, I saw that faint trace of suspicion in his eyes. He used to look at me with trust.
