Jordan’s POV It’s strange how one small thing can stay stuck in your head. That lunch with Elle should’ve been like any other. We’d been talking about work, numbers, nothing personal. Then she said it, casually, like it was nothing. “So, you still like soda apple?” The words hit me like a punch I didn’t see coming. I remember looking up from my plate, trying not to show my confusion. “How do you know that?” I asked. She blinked, froze for a second. “Oh… I just guessed,” she said, forcing a smile.
