Ethan’s POV
The king’s are going on about uniting the kingdom. All I can think about is Ara. I hope she knows I didn’t stand her up this morning. She’s bound to have noticed that I left with the General.
It’s nearly lunchtime and they are recapping what they had already discussed when I excused myself. I told them I had someone to meet. Despite feeling impolite, I can’t stand her up.
