I open my eyes, realizing it’s morning, and the anxiety kicks in. It’s been three days since Linton and I have been hiding out in this cabin. The first day, it rained hard at night. We were supposed to leave in the morning, but because of that, we ended up staying to wait until the rainwater dried up a bit. But today we are leaving. We are worried about spending a lot of time here and getting discovered. We think keeping it moving is better since we figure the hunters are probably on our trail or will be soon. It would be better if we had money because then we could maybe take the train and just ride it until the end of the line. But we don’t have a penny, and we are afraid to withdraw in case we are being monitored.
I get up and head to the shower before heading
