I grab my car keys and tell her I will be back before heading out. I realize I’m hungry as I get inside my car, but I’ll eat on my way back. Zane’s place is just two streets down.
I’m worried about him after yesterday’s meeting. I heard the story of Mac and his father after I returned, but a lot was going on, and I honestly never realized just how deep it was. I didn’t know how far he had gone. So when he came to me, explaining what he did and asking for an opportunity to make amends and rejoin the pack, having been through everything that Ria and I have been through, I figured we could hear him out and take it from there.
