“I’m not mad, I understand. Speak, later,” I place the phone on the sofa after speaking to Linton, and just then, Aunt La Reina walks in. I quickly try to fix my face, but she notices that something is wrong and asks me what happened. I tell her that Linton can’t come home this weekend and she sits down and take my hand.
“I’m sorry,” she says, but I tell her it’s okay; he probably forgot. It's been months since that bonfire night when I told him when my birthday was. Plus, he was home last weekend. It wasn’t fair of me to expect him to be here again this weekend.
“I’m going to lie down,” I tell her and she says okay with a sad look in her eyes. I don’t want to make her sad, but I was really hoping Linton was going to come back. He normally comes back on Friday
