"I’m going to miss you," I tell Linton, holding him tighter, and he tells me he’s going to miss me too. We hold each other for a long moment before pulling back from the hug. He leans in to place a kiss on my forehead, but I grab his face just as he pulls back and connect our lips, catching him off guard. He wraps his arms around my waist, deepening the kiss, and I’m grateful for his arms holding me in place as the familiar swoony feeling elicits a moan from my lips. "Have a safe trip," I whisper, breathless when we finally break the kiss, and he thanks me, looking at me with nothing but affection in his eye while I realize just how much I love him.
