Chapter 3

1042 Words
Kaisley looked at the two men who were still standing at the counter of the coffee shop she entered. She looked at the clothes they were wearing to make sure that they are not one of those who were chasing her and she might be surprised that they are one of those who were chasing her. "Ah, what coffee do you want to buy, madam?" The man with the little prickly hair was the first to speak to Kaisley. He wears white sleeves and a brown apron and a coffee shop logo on the left side of the apron. The man looked at the woman's dress. Kaisley also looked at her dress and Kaisley's eyes widened when she saw a blood stain near the hem of her dress. Kaisley went back to the scenes that had happened earlier and remembered that Aisle had touched her earlier. Kaisley looked back at the two strangers who still hadn't been moved from their positions. Kaisley bent down and shook her head to the two strangers. "I-I don't own this blood! But... But, I don't run or ask for help because I killed someone." Kaisley's voice weakened as she remembered the face of her companion she had left behind. Tears welled up in Kaisley's eyes. She tearfully looked straight into the eyes of the two strangers. "Please! Someone is chasing me. Help me." Kaisley closed her eyes and she again felt the fear and nervousness that had temporarily disappeared earlier because she remembered the people who were chasing her again. At any time, they could suddenly enter the shop she entered and they could shot her suddenly. The man wearing blue long sleeves and black pants did not react to what she said. He does not seem to be interested in helping Kaisley. It was only then that Kaisley noticed the blue color of his eyes and when the light from the shop light hit him it was as if the light literally entered his eyes as if it had become a beautiful contact lens. Maybe this man is wearing a contact lens according to Kaisley's mind. Kaisley looked around the coffee shop again. She suddenly remembered the last word her companion, Aisle had uttered before she left him behind. Nick. . . L'ME Shop. . . Earlier before Kaisley entered the shop she saw the name of the shop. L'ME. . . Kaisley looked back at the two. She step closer a little to them and confirmed her hunch earlier. "Is there a name, Nick who works here?" Kaisley noticed that the man wearing the apron looked at his companion. Kaisley reconsidered the name her friend had mentioned. "Miss, sit down first and calm down." The man in the apron approached her and made her sit on one of the shop chairs. "Sorry. Who is this Nick you are talking about and what is your purpose with him, Miss?" Kaisley stared at the man in front of her and wondered if she would tell him about the film or not. She did not know them and Kaisley was not sure if she could trust them. Meanwhile, when the man noticed the strange look on the Kaisley's face, he smiled at her and introduced himself. "I'm Joe. I've been working in this shop for a long time." "Ah, Eh... The owner of the blood in my dress is Aisle Marquez. He was with me earlier, but... He was shot by tuxedo men. Before he was killed earlier he said, L'ME coffee shop and the person named... " Kaisley reconsidered the name his friend had mentioned. It was a bit vague in her memory because she also could not think straight earlier because of the feeling of fear and nervousness. "Joe, I'm just going to CR." For the first time, another man who was still standing at the counter spoke. He left Kaisley and Joe without even glancing at Kaisley's direction. Kaisley seems to be losing hope because of what he is doing because he seems to have no intention of helping Kaisley. "Miss, who else did you refer to earlier? And may I know your name?" Kaisley's mind returned to the conversation. "I don't know if I'm thinking right, but Nicko is the name I heard from Aisle." Kaisley noticed the different manners of the person she was talking to when she mentioned the name Nicko. Kaisley wondered again if the name she mentioned to the man was correct. "Is Nicko the name you mentioned?" The tone of man also changed when he asked her a question. Kaisley, however, was encouraged again because he seemed to know the name she mentioned based on his reactions. It looks like the place Kaisley entered was just right. Kaisley nodded in response to the man and because of Kaisley's response, his face seemed even more serious. Kaisley would have said something else, but she could not begin to say anything when a man wearing blue long sleeves returned. "Nick, come here!" The man wearing the apron called his companion. Kaisley also turned in the direction of the man wearing blue long sleeves. He sat in the counter seat and based on his gesture, it seemed that he had no intention of talking with them. "I have no business with you." Even the tone of the man's speech was disgusting and emotionless. Kaisley was suddenly discouraged. Earlier, she had developed a plan on how to justify the death of her friend if she convice to helped her, but because of the man's answer, her little hope was immediately destroyed. "He is Nick Roger and I am Joe. I do not know why 'Nicko' is the name you are looking for in this shop, but if 'Aisle' himself said you need to come here for help and save yourself, I'm sure 'Nick' will help you with your goal. " The names Nick, Nicko and Aisle always seem to have an emphasis every time Joe speaks them. That's why Kaisley can't help but wonder about that. However, what surprised Kaisley even more was the man at the counter suddenly stand up when he heard what the man in front of Kaisley uttered. "Heh. So, Aisle died. And. . . Nicko?" Kaisley felt goosebump in her skin when she saw the strange smile Nick gave after he spoke.
