A New World
The village below lay shrouded in a deep silence as the moon rose high in the sky, spreading an eerie radiance across the area. The bustle and activity that typically define the daily hours had disappeared from the narrow streets, leaving them desolate. The only sounds were an owl's occasional hoot and the soft rustle of leaves in the night breeze.
The homes and businesses lining the streets were quiet and dark, with their windows covered and secured. There was not a single light coming from within, and it appeared as though the entire village had fallen asleep.
One species, though, remained awake and vigilant while the rest of the world slept. A lone bird perches atop a dilapidated wooden fencepost, a solitary sparrow watched over the village, its bright eyes scanning the darkened streets for any sign of movement. For hours, the bird remained vigilant, its keen senses attuned to the slightest disturbance.
Aria stood up from her bed and stretch her body, she then looked at the shining stars through the window and comment, "Oh my, what a lovely scene to behold".
"Aria's sister was awakened by her little sister's song. She wasn't actually in a deep sleep. She stared at her sister, who was singing for the stars with her lovely voice while holding her chin straight and firm with both hands, smiling.
Soon, there was a knock at the door, and Aria turned to see who it was, realizing her sister had been awake. Thalia quickly hid under her bedsheet. A voice was heard from behind the door, "Aria, are you singing again? You better go back to sleep so you can grow up healthy and not disturb your sister's sleep."
"Oh, poor aunt, go back to sleep, leave me alone. I want to fly like a bird, shine like a star, fight like a lion, and conquer the land. I will find the most handsome man on the planet and make him mine!" Aria said in a melodic tune.
"Would you go back to sleep, you little ant, and don't talk again," the voice replied from behind the closed door."
"Okay, okay aunt you better sleep too, love you", replied Aria.
"Aria Knight, the daughter of Knight Vedar from Vedarland, has just turned 18." She is a beautiful young lady, with long black hair, Her eyes sparkled like diamonds, full of depth and mystery. Her body is well carved and her lips were full and lush, painted in a deep shade of red that matched the roses in her hair.
Her skin was flawless, smooth as porcelain and as pale as moonlight, and her clothing was elegantly tailored to display her curves.
She recently moved to Tatarland with her sister; Thalia, leaving their father Knight in Vedarland to stay with their aunt Selene.
"Tatarland is a small village in the forest with a population of a few thousand residents, not exceeding three thousand.
To Aria, she is now living in what she perceives as a new world. She doesn't have to worry about her father, whom she thought to be "overprotective" since their mother's demise. She is just as curious and adventurous as before, trusting her instincts and always drawn to the unknown. Her father's strictness was his way of ensuring her safety.
Thalia, Aria's sister, resembles her sister in many ways, but she is blonde and much younger, at only 14 years old. Although she is not as troublesome as her sister."
It was the early Saturday morning, she didn't sleep quite well, and Aria had flashbacks of the scenery she saw deep in her sleep.
She had vivid dreams the night before, of running through the forest under the light of the full moon. As she drifted off to sleep, she felt a rush of excitement coursing through her body. Suddenly, she was standing in the middle of a dense forest. The full moon shone brightly in the sky, casting an ethereal glow on the trees and the ground beneath her feet.
Without thinking, Aria started to run. She felt the wind in her hair and the cool night air on her face. The ground beneath her feet was soft and springy, and she felt as if she could run forever. She ran through the trees, feeling the branches brush against her skin. She felt alive and free.
As she ran, she noticed that the forest was changing. The trees became taller and more ancient-looking. The ground became rocky and uneven. But Aria didn't slow down. She felt as if she were part of the forest, as if the forest was a part of her.
Finally, she reached the edge of the forest. She stopped and looked out at the world beyond. She saw mountains in the distance, their peaks shrouded in mist.
When she looked in the mirror that morning, she was shocked to see that her once-brown eyes were now a bright golden color, like the sun.
As she stumbled through her day, trying to make sense of what was happening to her, she found herself inexplicably drawn to the woods.
"She set out after breakfast, exploring the dangerous woods alone without a word to her aunt Selene. The scenery was just like the one she had dreamed about, but she was still unable to decode the mystery of the Golden eyes.
When she returned home, she found her aunt working in the garden and her sister cleaning the house.
"Are you coming from the woods again, Aria?" Selene asked.
"Well, I dreamed about it, so I went to check it out and explore the wonders that lie therein," replied Aria.
"Oh my dear, don't leave like that without telling me. I don't want anything to harm you, my little girl."
"I am not little, I just turned 18!"
"Alright, alright, get inside, and I will catch up with you in a minute."
"She walked gently into the house, not knowing what was going on. Aria slipped and almost fell due to the moisture from Thalia's cleaning broom. In a stylish and heroic move, she quickly supported herself with three fingers and then returned to her feet.
She was amazed at how that happened. It was not a conscious decision, but rather an instinctual response. "What is happening to my body?" she wondered.
Aria had always been curious about the forest that lay just beyond her backyard. During the day, she would often venture into its depths, following the winding trails and discovering hidden clearings and babbling brooks.
But tonight, she had decided to explore the forest under the cover of darkness. Armed with a flashlight and a sense of adventure, she had slipped out of her house and into the woods, eager to see what secrets the night might hold.
As she made her way deeper into the forest, the trees grew thicker and the underbrush denser. But she pressed on, her curiosity driving her forward.
Suddenly, she heard voices in the distance. Intrigued, she crept closer, keeping her flashlight trained on the ground to avoid being seen.
As she drew nearer, the voices grew louder and clearer. There were people talking, their words indistinct but urgent. And then, she saw them - a group of shadowy figures gathered around a small fire, their faces obscured by the flickering flames.
Aria couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement and fear at the sight of these unknown people. But as she stepped closer, the twig beneath her foot snapped, alerting the group to her presence.
In an instant, they turned towards her, their eyes wide and searching. Aria froze, her heart pounding in her chest as she realized that she had been caught.
But just as the group began to move towards her, she turned and ran, sprinting back towards the safety of her home. As she fled through the forest, she could hear their footsteps pounding after her, their voices raised in alarm.
But Aria was too fast for them. She made it back to her backyard, heart racing and breath coming in gasps. And as she looked back into the dark forest, she knew that she had gotten more than she bargained for with her late-night adventure.
After launch, Selene asked the girls to stay, "I have something to talk with you my girls"
Aunt Selene prepared to reveal a family secret to the girls, knowing their father wouldn't do so, Selene understood that it was time for the girls to discover the truth because they had grown up believing that werewolves were just myths.
Her smooth, soothing voice said, "Girls," at the outset. "I have to let you in on something crucial. Not like other girls. I'm a werewolf, and so are you."
The girls stared at her with wide-open eyes of horror. "What does that mean? Thalia inquired. To Aria, this wasn't too much of a suprise, taking into account the changes she had been experiencing with her body lately.
Before beginning to explain, Selene smiled and took a big breath. "She discussed their origins and the werewolf culture. She also urged them to keep their werewolf identity a secret when living among people, as being a werewolf can be seen as a threat to them."
“You girls are capable of amazing things, Selene said. "But, you must use caution. There are many risks in the world, and not everyone will respect or accept who you are."
The youngsters paid close attention, asking questions and retaining all of the knowledge their aunt had to share. Selene gave instructions on how to manage their change, pass for human, and protect themselves from people who would try to harm them.
"Most importantly, you need to be proud of who you are, Selene continued, turning to face her nieces. You are not oddities or monsters. You are strong, wise, and exquisite beings. Never allow someone make you feel ashamed of your nature; instead, embrace it."
The girls nodded, their confidence and sense of empowerment growing. Although they were still young, they understood that they had a big responsibility to protect their pack, themselves, and the natural order.
As the night went on, Selene showed up in the girls room, Aria rose up upon seeing her. She called her out of the house silently while Thalia was fast asleep.
Tonight is a full moon, and I would like to show you how to control your abilities, so my girl, be strong enough.
The full moon loomed large in the sky, casting it’s glow over the forest where the two figures stood. Aria watched as Selene's body begin to contort and twist in ways she never thought possible.
She almost froze in amazement - not fear, as she watched the aunt transform before her very eyes.
As the moonlight bathed her in its silvery light, she let out a blood-curdling scream. Her bones cracked and popped as her body grew larger and more muscular. Her skin rippled and stretched, thick fur bursting forth from its pores. Her face contorted into a snout, her teeth elongating into razor-sharp fangs.
Selene let out one final, howl before collapsing onto all fours. Aria could hardly believe what she was seeing - before her stood a massive, snarling werewolf, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.
"Oh my God, I can't believe my eyes! That was the most incredible thing I have ever seen! It's like something out of a horror movie! The details match everything Dad used to tell us in his bedtime stories," exclaimed Aria.
"This is both terrifying and fascinating at the same time! I can't even imagine what it must feel like to go through such a transformation!" said Aria.
She gave a second howl, before collapsing back to her human form.
"Now your turn to transform" Selene said.
"Transform? That sounds incredible! How do I do it? Can you tell me how?"
Selene stood beside her, her voice very calm and reassuring. "Remember what I taught you," she said. "Focus on the moon, feel its power coursing through your veins. Embrace the wolf within you, let it take over."
The young woman nodded, taking a deep breath as the full moon rose higher in the sky. She closed her eyes and concentrated, feeling a strange energy pulsing through her body. She could feel her bones shifting and changing, her muscles bulging and growing stronger. Her skin itched and burned as thick fur began to sprout all over her body.
With a fierce growl, she let go of all control, allowing the wolf within her to take over completely. Her face changed into a snout, her teeth elongating into razor-sharp fangs. She let out a long, eerie howl as she stood on all fours, feeling a rush of power and freedom like never before.
Her aunt watched with pride as she underwent her first transformation, impressed by her strength and determination. "Well done," she said, a smile spreading across her face. "You have become one with the wolf. From this day forward, you are a werewolf, a creature of the night, and you must learn to embrace and to control your power. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Use it wisely." Selene stated
They practiced in the moonlight, howling joyfully and in unison.
Aria was aware that her live would never be the same when she went to sleep that night. But, she will be prepared for whatever obstacle ahead since she knew that their family's love and support would help them along the road.
