I could hear guards patrolling the area, as the rest of the tribe slept.
I spotted Maddox near the tree I grew for Jericho. I walked slowly towards him, not wanting to spook him. I could feel his swirling emotions, knowing he was suffering right now.
A twig snapped beneath my foot, making me turn around and rise to his feet.
“Aura, what are you doing here?” He asked me slightly worried
He rushed over to me, hugging me tight.
“I’m okay, I just came to stay for a while. If that’s okay?” I said out softly
“Of course! You are always welcomed here for as long as you want.” Maddox said out eagerly
I laughed at his eagerness, as I pulled back from the hug.
“Thank you, it means alot.” I said out lovingly
