espite Danton’s objection, Ewan ordered Kirgen to sail to the Port of Tramore. It was a shorter trip than sailing to Athlone, and Ewan wanted to see if Tramore was truly under siege.
If Nico had invaded Avar, Ewan would have to mobilize his army. Convincing the nobles to do the same would be troublesome with Gerard’s division.
After convincing Áinle to leave Ewa, Ewan marched back to the ship and brought several of the men to the monastery to retrieve as many books from the library as possible. Unsure of how many were actually spell books, Ewan just about emptied the entire library. It took several hours since they didn’t have an easy way to transport them to the ship.
