I ran after my dad into my mom's room, I stood at the entrance because smoke filled the room

Her closet was on fire and she was lying lifeless on the ground

My dad carried her, the other guards ran in and out off the fire, I followed my dad downstairs

"Sekani, hold her while I go get ice from the fridge" my dad said in haste

I held her making her sit down even tho her eyes were closed

My dad brought ice and he placed it on her forehead, my mom jerked up as she started breathing heavily

We calmed her down as she sat down on a chair

"What Happened?" My dad asked in a serious face

"I don't know, you know I bought a bag of jeweries not quite long from the mall, I dropped it inside the wardrobe, I was just walking around the room when it exploded" my mom explained admist tears

"You should have checked why you bought before bringing it home" my dad said cleaning his sweat with his right hand

"Jeez, do you mean the jewries exploded?" I asked my dad with a confused look

"Its either the person who handed over the bag to you placed a time bomb in it or someone threw it inside while she wasn't looking" my dad explained

"Who could have done that" I asked

Dad: two people are after us, is either lurels guys or the asains

Sekani: dad, you should at least explain things to me now, I am a novice here

Dad: you will understand with time

Sekani: ohh, really?

I stood up as I walked into my room feeling weak and tired

I bandaged my bleeding hand and took a bath, I laid on my bed with lots of thoughts

Why is lurel after us, not only my dad but his family, did my dad owe him something?

What could that even be? I just hope nothing bad happens

I closed my eyes as I tried to get some sleep

I sat on my chair in the garden when a guard walked up to me

"My lord, I found the Don's wife in the mall, I took pictures of her and I also placed the bomb in her bag" he said still bowing his head

"Let me see the pictures" I replied still holding the cigarette in my hand

I took the phone as I scrolled through the pictures

She is young and beautiful but beauty means nothing to me since the day my sister was murdered in cold blood

"She is not gonna die, the bomb will only send a warning to them" I said handling the phone over to him

"My lord, I also traced her to their estate, I know where the live, its security tight " he added

I stood up from the chair and threw the cigarette on the bare grass

I placed my hands in my pocket as I stared at the pool

"Mom, my flight is in an hour time, I will be heading to the airport now" I said with a smile

"Okay son, please take good care of yourself" she replied

I already wrote down all my plans to my mom

I wore my suit as I hopped into my car as the driver drove off

I picked my phone and called the head if the security guard Nathan. "Don't fail me, I need that man alive" I said and hung up

I lit my cigarette and closed my eyes

It was 11 pm, it's almost midnight, I lost sleep thinking of who lurel was

Is he that bad? I still can't get his pretty picture off my head

And every time I think of the evil he will do, I feel sick, I am feeling sick already

I stood up from my bed with my white t shirt and my black joggers, I am not even wearing bra cos my boobs are medium sized

I left my braided hair falling over my face, I climbed down the stairs

I saw red tin light pointing lights in the walls, I knew it was a gun light butttt why?

I took slow steps heading back to the steps when I heard gun shots

The walls were being shot

I laid down flat on the floor as I screamed

Dad!! Dad!!

My dad rushed out with my mom as they dragged me down the dinning table

My mom was shaking badly, her blood pressure was rising, I held her hands tight as my dad was still thinking of what to do

We heard the door burst open as more than fifty men came inside the house

One of them came under the dinning as he dragged me by the hair

I screamed in pains as they also dragged my mom and dad outside

"Pls don't hurt my daughter, if you are here for me, I will follow you, just leave my daughter out of this" my dad said raising his hands up

"We are here for all of you, move!" The man shouted as he pulled my hair

I pinched him in his legs as I stepped on him, I ran to my mum as I hugged her

The man dragged me again as he gave me a punch across my face

I fell to the ground as my nose started bleeding, he grabbed me by the hair again as he pushed me against the wall

I was gasping for breath, my head was pounding so bad

My mom was tied up as they carried her outside

My eyes were directed to my dad

Tears were dropping from his eyes, I couldn't fight back

My dad and I were dragged outside, everywhere was filled with blood

Louis was lying lifeless on the ground

I wailed in tears as we were being dragged to the car

We heard another gunshot

We fell to the ground with my mom beside me

With the look of things I knew it was the asains that attacked

My dad stood up with his eyes burning in rage

He turned to me with teary eyes

"Find a way to gain freedom, you are a great child, a lion, don't ever let anybody make you keep quiet, lurel might be your future or doom …go to the underground there is a book there, you will understand everything in the future"

The words that came out of my dad's lips were his last

The asains shot him

He fell down smiling…
