The Betrayed Princess

As the world burned outside, a mother placed her sleeping baby into her crib. With a kiss on the baby's fine brown hair, she took one last look at the door before she slipped away. Not long after, a man and a woman approached the baby's room. The baby was still sound asleep despite the chaos that erupted outside her room. "That's her." The witch gasped. "They've put a spell on her to not wake her. We will have to take her back to the pack house before I can remove the spell." "Not till I see the mark. If there's no mark, she goes to the prison with others we've captured." A tall man started approaching the crib. His calloused hands slowly and strategically started to unwrap the blanket. He rolled the baby slowly over and folded down the little diaper. To his suprise the mark was there, just on the small of the little child's back. The moon's current phase in dark black.... while the rest were shaded lighter and lighter, completing the moon's cycle. "You were right, little witch, the goddess is among us." The king smirked with delight. My kingdom will never fall now he thought silently to himself. The small red-headed witch smirked too, as she knew a secret about the little wolf the king held. A secret she would keep from everyone till the little wolf was ready. As the king hurried back to the castle, his wife screamed in agony. "Push Luna! One more and your baby will be here!" With one more agonizing scream, a little baby was heard crying. "Queen, our future Alpha still needs a name. What would you like to call him? "Colin." The queen whispered before the machines started frantically beeping. The room became chaotic and baby Colin was whisked away from the room for further care while the doctors hurriedly cared for his mother. An hour later, the king arrived and received the news of his wife and baby. In his rage, he ordered the son to be killed immediately for killing his mate and no one utter a word of the child's existence. He would rather raise the little goddess as his own. She would be the strongest leader and most beneficial to the pack. "The goddess needs a name for the birth certificate alpha." "Her name shall be Harper." He exhaled heavily " She will be the first Luna of our time and she will know nothing of her old pack. She will forever be known as the first born to Luna Ember and Alpha Tate of the Aspenwood pack." With final signatures the doctors did what was ordered, but before they could do anything with the baby he was gone. Out of fear for their lives, they said nothing to the Alpha. Whoever took him did them all a favor and hopefully for the sake of the child's life would keep their own secret as well.
