The day didn’t go quite as planned. For one, I wasn’t able to make it back in time to take Lyssa to her class. Instead, I barely had enough time to pack a bag for her and send it with my mom. It wasn’t how I wanted the two to meet, but it was going to have to do, and all I could do was hope it went well, mainly because I didn’t have time to worry about anything else.
Sending Ray back to his dad in the condition we did should have gone one of two ways. One, they get the hint and leave town. Two, they call the cops, and we spend time being asked questions we didn’t answer before being released. Then again, we underestimate just how crazy the two actually were. A mistake we wouldn’t make a second time. I can only hope that if Lyssa ever finds out the two never actually left town, she
