"You really had to choose such a difficult place to memorize?" Jacob asked Soomin with a pout. He was very nervous about this because this required a lot of lying and buttering, something that he was good at but he didn’t really feel confident in his ways today.   "You didn't even come. How am I supposed to do the project now?" Soomin remarked with a frown, surrounded by a bunch of colored pens and a couple of papers.   “I feel like I’m writing a report for kids.” “Aren’t you?” “I’m in college Mr. I’m a figment of your imagination.” Jacob rolled his eyes and sat on the ground in front of her.   “So what do we have here?” “Just go.” Soomin said, a pout visible on her lips which Jacob found cute.   “Didn’t you ask me to be your camera? Are you going to fire me from my job before I even started?” Jacob asked hearing which she got slightly annoyed.   “Yes I did. I asked you very nicely and you agreed but you didn’t show up. I remember nothing.”   "I did go there. I went there with you. I am a part of you. I go everywhere you go." Jacob said and smiled.   “That can’t be true. It’s like I’ve never been there and I hate that.”   “You definitely went there or else how would I explain my memory?” Jacob asked but only heard a sigh in return.   “Stop messing with me when I have so much to do Mr. Imagination.”   “Now why would I do that. Believe me I went there.” Soomin sighed and nodded without paying much attention to the boy.   "It would have been better if you went with me. I would have directed you." Soomin mumbled.”   “I’m not a movie that you can direct. Although I remember things just fine.” He wasn’t lying, if Jacob was good at something, it has to be his photographic memory. Something that he was really putting at stake while pursuing a career in acting. But hey, the heart wants what it wants.   He always wanted to explore how deep his mind memory goes, something that memorizing scripts don’t help in. He was very secretive about this but only because he didn’t wish to be pestered by his brother for choosing a more statistical course.   He was on his path to live his dream and there was nothing he wished to hold him back.   So he saw this as an opportunity. To help Soomin with her project, that was so childish in his opinion, he wanted to explore his mind that worked quite opposite to the girl.   Obeying his brother’s command, he went to the place after Soomin had been there and looked around, trying his best to not miss out anything.   "So you remember everything?" Soomin asked snatching him away from his own thoughts. He gave her a nod and took the page that she was working on.   “Really? All you did was make borders?”   “We’re getting ten points on the presentation; I want to secure at least that.”   “Are you sure you go to college?”   “You should know Mr. I’m a fig-” “Alright I get it!”   “It’s a project for my social skills class and my professor’s obsessed with showing off to other teachers. Please just help me complete it so I get over with this?” She gave him a look that he took as pleading for his own pride.   "Then we should start." Jacob said and took a rough paper and started listing down things he saw to categorize them.   “That’s real paper and pen you know. You’re writing and I can show it to anyone.”   “Soomin would you please be so generous to start working?” She hummed and looked at the window, it was all too weird for her.   For Soomin having someone to help her, only her, was quite new and she hated to accept that she was getting comfortable around him. Well Jacob has such a personality of pleasing people.   ‘Why did I even ask him for help? When I had only met him twice. This delusional man who claims to be a part of my imagination outsmarted me and I hate him for that.’   She tried to bring Jacob in a public place but her efforts failed. She then thought that he will never show up again because he broke his promise but here he was, helping her do her project.   Jacob on the other hand was annoyed. Annoyed by the fact that he has to do someone else's project and that someone was doing nothing but look outside the window.   “Soomin the work isn’t going to do itself.”   “I lied.”   “Huh?” Jacob asked looking at her who was still looking outside.   “My camera is working just fine. I wanted to prove that I’m not a mad person who is seeing a whole 6 feet tall man.”   “I know you were lying you have your phone to click photos too.”   Soomin just hummed and looked back at the paper.   “If it helps, I’m only 5 feet 11 inches tall.” Jacob said to which she chuckled.   “My ideal type is someone who is at least 6 feet.”   “With your height?” Soomin gasped.   “I’m taller than average girls.”   “Doesn’t count if you look like an ant beside me.”   “Well that’s because you look like an elephant next to me.” Soomin waited for his response but he went quiet when she said that.   She looked at him, and the friendly aura he had was no longer there, replaced by something dark.   With the atmosphere quieter now, Jacob worked with better concentration just to be able to leave earlier.   "It looks good enough. I can do everything else now. Thank you Jacob." Jacob smiled half-heartedly.   "You're going to leave now?" Soomin asked and he nodded.   "I must go now. But I will come again." Jacob said making Soomin happy from inside.   "I will finish this project till then. Thank you again."   "It wasn't a very hard task." Jacob said and left Soomin which made her a little sad.   'He says he is my imaginary boyfriend but he is not even imaginary or like a boyfriend. But can it be that he is really..... Just My Imagination.
