Black brother
Finally he reached the holy cross. It was corn season and the town was packed with farm boys on donkey backs playing stick fight while they waited for their sisters to grain. Perfect time to rest he thought, with all the entertainment of locals who came to town to watch the horse parade. He was sweating not only from the road but from what he had been thinking. He gave too many men life and was now held responsible for their survival. Leaving home felt like abondonig his responsibility but he knew he had to go if he wanted change, in fact he needed it. This type of living that involved currency exchange for needs really frustrated him though he wasn't against the idea. He knew that life had colour even in that dull moment and maybe one needs to pay to achieve. He was about to get up when he found his eyes on a standing glass of water. She told him about the changing fortunes of time and how she longed to keep up. She spoke so wisely which made him wonder why she chose him being his old torn socks and nearly garbage shoes and her in her orange neat dress and barefeet. She told him that she was grown enough to run away yet too young to know where to go. After a while when they were both finally silent he began to hum a while before he turned his humming into a song then when she though he was done he began to talk
I know a bridge they built for us to cross. Across it awaits a story only we can tell. Don't tell your father I told you this secret but my father owns no cattle no more. If you come along with me I'll tell you how my grandfather's ghost loves blood and if you stay I'll let him have mine too. You and I can make a prophesy about eden with every fruit but apples. If snakes slither through the trees of our seeds we'll kneel down and say the lord's prayer. I'm going to a new world. They've Givin me a piece of land but until I build on it I'll hide from the night in the trees. They say its valleys will water my garden for me
