Chapter 22 - Arrival and Sights
After a breakfast in the Library’s kitchen, Librarian Jacob Kandari leads the librarian staff into the back room. “We're only a small depository here,” he warns William. “But well stocked in engineering texts.” This room stretches for ten meters on each side with a high ceiling two meters above their heads. Pratima smiles as she looks around. Rows of shelving hold levels of books from the floor up.
“We organize them by subject matter,” he tells her. “It’s not the most efficient system, but it could survive a lost card catalog.”
