Raakhi looks less noble than the last time William had her attention. But still, her face shines with defiance.
“My brother, Vasu’s, on his way. Two days, he’ll be here.” Raakhi boasts to Jyotsna.
“Sorry,” Jyotsna apologizes, they have been at it for the last hour. “She is not helpful at all.”
“Well, we know what we have to get ready for,” Abha disagrees.
And Pratima turns to William, “Now we know what we are facing, in spite of her insolence.”
“We must get back to the library stacks. I am looking for a book by John Sadler” Abha tells them. “Called Border Fury: England and Scotland at War, 1296-1568. There were numerous small unit actions and raids detailed in it. On houses and castles in that time.”
“I can find it for you,” Pratima promises.
