Chapter Fifteen

1180 Words

Chapter Fifteen On The Beach In a completely unexpected move, Keith picked her up at the tearoom on an August afternoon, which was not as hot as one would have expected for the sometimes scorching California summer. He’d bought her a one piece pastel pink and turquoise swimsuit, not a bikini, which she would have expected from him. On the way to the beach, he made her change, strip in Jeep. While the ragtop roof was on to protect her skin from the sun, the windows in the vehicle had been removed and her swift change of clothes took place in view of several intrigued voyeurs driving by. “It’s perfect, just what I thought,” he said of the suit when she had it on. His quick inspection gave her the chills. “I don’t think I’m a bikini kind of girl,” she agreed. “You’re right. You’re not.”
