Chapter Sixteen Lies Sausony heard his footsteps on the stairs, then the door swing open and the man walked through. Her body quickened instantly knowing he was close. He moved through the loft until he found her pruning fuchsias on the open-air deck just outside his bedroom. Grabbing her by the arm, the pruning sheers clattered to the floor.
