The Geek Gets The Popular Girl

My summer wasn’t great so far. I had quite a bad week last week, and I wrote my thoughts down. I look back at them, and hope that Senior year will be different. 6/22/2018 - Today was another rough day. I worked another 12 hour shift, 6AM - 6:30PM, and of course Nick wouldn’t stop messing around with everything in the warehouse. I had to get on the forklift after the regular shift left for the night and fix his mistakes, so the crew wouldn’t get yelled at again. Just two days ago we had a pallet fall off the rack right behind Glenn, and he was terrified so badly that I haven’t seen him since. I work with my dad in the city, and I wanted to help him out because he is so stressed working the job of 4 people, and getting paid half of what he should. It pisses me off so much. Thank god it is Friday, and I can have the weekend to myself. I really wish I could have someone special to spend it with though… 6/23/2018 - Surprise, surprise. Guess who had to go to work on a SATURDAY! That’s right, the line was yelled at, yet again for messing around, and not getting the job done. Because of us being behind by two weeks, we had to work an 8 hour shift today. It was 104° and getting warmer. Glenn came back today, and he had a bit of a heat stroke and was taken to the hospital. You could imagine how Lolita felt. They had been working together since my second summer here, and they always had this kind of friendship that I thought only teenagers would have. It makes me laugh every time, even though I am really sad writing this. Enrique called me, and asked if I wanted something to do this weekend, but I told him that I got off work and that I needed to sleep and relax at home. He was okay with that, and told me to call him tomorrow. I drove the 40 minutes home, ate dinner, said goodnight to my family, oh how I love my family. It makes me sad to see them not spend time with me. I took a long shower, and took all the hot water. It was a stressful day, hopefully tomorrow will be better. 6/25/2018 - BAD DAY 6/26/2018 - BAD DAY 6/27/2018 - It’s time for me to be done with this.
