"This is my apartment, just stop here. Thanks for today and all and I’m so sorry about your shirt." I whispered to Damion before opening the door and leaving the limousine. I waved goodbye to him once more and saw the car leave. I closed my eyes in absolute disappointment. He was my soulmate yet here I was not telling him a thing because I was scared to get rejected from him because maybe I wasn't up to his standards of some sort. I mean he was a billionaire, model and probably f*****g famous. I was nothing more than a broken, little girl who has no parents and no money. Climbing up the stairs to the tent first floor, I begin shuffling my keys from my bag as I walk down the hallway. Reaching my door my eyes widen when I see a poster of. Wait a minute what? A letter of an eviction notice on my front door. My hand shivers a little as I pick it up to see I was over rent. "You need to leave by the end of next week," I hear a much familiar voice to only know that it was my so-called evictor. He was a middle aged, divorced man who was a f*****g paedophile. "I paid my rent money last week." He shrugged his shoulder and handed me a letter saying It wasn't delivered to him. "I don't care, you need to leave." I see him look me up and down before leaving the hallway when his back faced me I put my middle finger and jumped up and down screaming in the inside of my mouth as I pushed my door open and threw my bag across the floor of my apartment. My hands opened a tin pot of baked beans as I walked towards my bedroom before stumbling onto a photo frame, stopping in my track I bent down and settled the can of beans on the floor to swap it with the frame. My heart dropped twenty feels as I sat on the floor my back against the wall my thumb grazing her face, closing my eyes I put the frame against my chest and feel a tear escaping my eyes. "Why did you have to leave..?" I whispered. Flashback "Right there baby, right there. YES!" After my cheerleading accident at school, I broke my leg and got it plastered after three weeks I'm starting to finally know how to walk again without my stupid crutches. "Mum, does that mean I can go back to cheer?" She sighed shaking her head as she bent on her knees to reach my height, her hands grazing my pink cheeks. "Baby, I can't afford for you to go anymore. Daddy as well." My eyes go towards my small feet as I begin to move it around the oak wooden floor. "But-but okay fine." "Let’s take a small photo, ready, three two one. CHEESE!" We both smiled at the selfie mum took us and that was the last memory I ever had of her before my father. END OF FLASHBACK   Walking towards the bathroom I notice I was still wearing his shirt and unbuttoned it before throwing it in the washing machine. I should give it back to him tomorrow or something or should I keep it. I stepped into the shower, toes flinching as they touched the chilled ceramic floor. My mind was in shreds; I would never get that picture out of my mind. I turned the dial, old and metallic, releasing thousands of lukewarm drops, darkening my hair and trickled down my back. I finished, leaving with a towel wrapped around my body, it was short but it would do fine. "Ava, open the door I need to take my things." Jakes voice boomed from the other side of the door as I lifted myself up kissing the photo frame before settling it down onto the wooden round table of my living room. I walked up to the bedroom grabbing all his clothes and shoving them into a box with his shoes and everything he owned, lifting it up I walk all the way towards the door and open it with my free hand. Revealing a blonde man, I shove the box on his chest and slam the door shut without even saying anything. "Wow, real mature." "I know, but can you really talk about maturity Jake?" “Ava, it was an accident, I was drunk and I didn’t mean to- “ “Jake, right now…I just really don’t care. Please take your things and leave my apartment.” “Ava- “ “No Jake. Get out, now before I call security.” “You don’t have security- “ “She said to leave, let us not make a problem. Jake.” My head snaps to the door again, I see Damion standing there, his back leaning against the wall along with on of his feet. His hands were tucked into his trouser pockets. Jake felt threatened, I felt him feel so. I would, Damion was a beautiful man. So beautiful. From his hair to his blue beautiful eyes. Then his body was another reason, the way the blazer was tight fitted around his muscles. “Who are you?” Jake alleged, I noticed Damion glance at my half naked body. Before he set it onto Jake. “No one you need to know, leave now before I make you and trust me…I don’t think its going to be a pretty sight.” Damion inferred unbothered; his hands slowly unbutton his blazer jacket. Jake dropped his box and walked up to Damion as if threatening him. “Don’t you ever threaten me, understood? I will kill you.” With the words that left his mouth, Damion did nothing but chuckle. His foot kicked of the back of the hallways wall before grabbing Jakes neck in the grasp of his hands and smashing his head onto the wall. And no, I wasn’t going to stop him. He can kill that b***h for all I care. Jake grabs onto his wrist as Damion slowly lifts him up. “If you ever come near ava again, I don’t care if its to come pick your s**t up. I will f*****g murder you, and when I threaten someone, I don’t f*****g bluff like you.” He shoves Jake onto the ground, Jake picks himself up and wipes down his white shirt before grabbing his box and walking away. Damion’s eyes meet my own, and I didn’t know what to do. “Do you want to come inside?” I whispered, almost a squeak. Damion nods his head as I open the door wider for him. I shut it after he walks inside. I held onto the door and the moment I turned I bumped into a body. A wall more like, that minute my towel loosened and before I could catch it the floor caught it first and my body was pressed against his. “First coffee, now you body?” Damion whispered, I looked down seeing my breast barely hanging before I grab onto it and cover it with my arms. Damion grabs the towel and hands it to me, I quickly wrap my body and rub the back of my head. “I just came to give you, your phone. You left it in the car.” He takes his phone out and I smile taking it from his grasp. “Thank you, sorry I didn’t expect anyone to come..” Damion walks inside, I enter my bedroom and get changed quickly before leaving. “If you’re hungry I have- “ “Baked beans? The question is are you hungry?” I chuckle awkwardly rubbing the back of my head again, “eviction notice- “ “I’m staying with a friend so everything is completely A-okay! It’s not like I don’t, because I do and baked beans, baked beans are great for losing weight and eating when you’re depressed over a break up with a man that cheated don me but hey who care, because I don’t care. Do you care?” “No not really.” “Exactly, I don’t as well, I mean it’s not like I was going through his things yesterday and smelling his shirts before burning them, he smelt like onions anyways. I can believe I used to sleep with that, how did I not pick up the smell, do you know?” “No not really.” “See- “ “Ava, do you talk so much when you get flustered? Anyways, I should get going, it was nice meeting you.” He pushes himself away form the counter and towards the door which was right beside the kitchen. “Right, of course. Its not like a billionaire would eat baked beans or something- “ “Goodbye ava,” I smile and open the door for him, the minute he stepped out I immediately remember what he did for me. “Thank you- “ “No problem.”
