The Sculpture
Students flock the centre of the school grounds near the fountain where a porcelain statue stood, a petite lady with her finger pointing to the north, a seemingly normal piece of art except a normal price of art wouldn't be dripping blood. The police arrived with the ringing sounds of sirens, a sound that should bring relief but as of the moment all it brought is an earie feel in the already dreadful atmosphere. Detective Charles Evans a respectably well known detective in the area is all too familiar with these kinds of cases after all this isn't the first time he'd seen something like this, his graying brows furrowed at the sight. The killer is well known in the area, A serial killer like shadow almost unoticeable and strikes when you least expect it and to the people you least expect it to strike on. The crime scene for the past six months has become an almost normal occurrence in the city of Illanoi. "Just like back then" a voice sprang out behind Detective Evans, he turned to face it and saw a familiar face, "Evie!" He exclaimed with an almost gentle demeanour a stark contrast to his earlier calculated self, this girl dressed in a high school uniform is one he wanted to protect most. "It's Eva! I'm not a child anymore Charles." Eva groaned with an almost annoyed tone although she hated when the man would treat her like a child but she could never bring herself to hate the man who raised her. "It feels like it was just yesterday when you barely reached half my waist", Detective Evans marbled with the sight of his adopted daughter now a young woman in the making. "Charles, kids grow I'm sixteen now." Eva's eyes shone with pride as she looks up at Detective Charles. "Either way you shouldn't be here young lady" Charles gazed down to the doe eyed girl with eyes reflecting a sense of worry. He dreaded having her see the darkness of the world they live in, if Detective Charles could cover her eyes and take her far away from the cruelty that surrounds them he undoubtedly would. Something in this girl, Evangeline Unica Adler that brings out his protective nature. Back then Eva was only ten years old when the incident happened, he was alarmed of a crime scene in Illanoi West side valley a murder, it was nothing new to him the serial killer has been lurking in thar area for a while only this time he rushed to the area cause the alleged killer has been caught red handed by a crew of officers from a special force assigned by the government that's clearly more than bothered by the troubles the criminal brings. Today, January 15, 2019 the infamous serial killer "The sculptor" has been caught. The police sirens noises filled a once happy home seemingly normal even after the horrific scene that unfolded inside it, the walls white, the tiled floor perfectly polished like it had only been cleaned a few hours ago it would have been ideal except for the blood pooling the floor. Two dead right? Detective Evans spoke to the police officer examining the scene. Yeah but their daughter is alive understandably shaken though, the officer's voice was full of pity imagining the now orphaned child's situation. But the murderer will be put on trial soon well be making sure he won't get out of this one.
