WHEN I WAS YOUR GIRL MY MAN
I want to share my story too. When I was in my second year at Poly I met this girl. She was in first year. I immediately liked her. But it was hard for me to get her because she was very prayerful. She was a member of SCOM and joined some church.Me, on the other hand, i was a drunkard. This girl told me if I wanted to have a chance with her, I had to join her church. So I started going there. But even after one semester of going there, she was still not giving me a chance. She said her pastor was still waiting to see if I was serious and the right one for her.In the first semester she never visited my room and I never visited hers. So when we came back for the second semester after noticing she had not been texting back and ignoring me, I decided to go to her room. When I got there, I knocked on the door and I found her roommate. After I introduced myself, she laughed and said, "Oh you are that guy?" I laughed too because I knew what she meant. I left. Over the next few weeks, I stopped going to church and resorted back to my drinking. One day I bumped into the roommate at the bar. She also drunk. Me and her became friends. We used to drink together and she came to my room a few times. One day she came and blacked out on my bed because we were drinking in my room. Nothing happened. When her roommate found out, for the first time she came to my room. She acted like all was well and was asking me why I stopped going to church. I said, "Ndimasowa ondilimbikisa." I had created some rivarly between them. When the new girl found out her mesho had come to my room and I was talking to her again, got mad and stopped talking to me.Now I was confused because I didn't know she liked me. She never gave me such hints. But now that she was not talking to me, I suddenly fell in love. But all my efforts were ignored. She always said, "Pitani kwa a mesho since you want a born again." I was even more in love. When the other girl (born again) came to my room again, I told her point blank that I was in love with her mesho and she could go. The two had a fight that day and stopped talking to each other in the same room. But that had worked to my advantage. The other girl was happy and soon we began dating.Anyway, that was how I met my wife of one year now. We dated for five years and married last year. We have one child and so far so good. We still drink together at home most of the times.Interestingly, the other girl drinks now and actually goes to clubs. I heard she was dating at some point but I think she is single now. My advice to people is to be in love you must always be willing to compromise. You are not always right and neither is your partner.
