Fourth Chapter

Eveline's POV

Next morning.

"Argh," first I didn't realize where I am but then memories from last night came to my head...dinner, Zachary...kiss, oh sh*t. When I was sitting on my bed I heard a knock, by the way, what time is it? I stood up from my bed and went to open the door.

When I opened my door I saw...are you f***ing kidding me? "Good afternoon, Eveline" and again his stupid attractive smirk, wait, he said 'afternoon' shook! "Your highness, what a pleasant surprise!" I said sarcastically and faked a smile, "Ooh, you are a fast learner," he smirked, I rolled my eyes and went back to my bed and sat on it crossing my bare legs, (yes, I was half-naked) while he was looking at my every move. "Why came?" I asked, he licked and bit his lower lip, "Eveline, this is your first day of studying in the Beast Academy and you are already failing to be right on time" he entered my room and came closer. Oh sh*t I forgot to put an alarm yesterday, "I...I..."

"Don't, I know, that's why I came to check on you" he said. Okay, now I don't understand anything... "Wh...what do you know?" I asked nervously, "Oh come on, I saw you and Zach teleporting to the roof" he leaned on the wall and put his hands in his front pockets. "Umm...how did you know that we teleported to the roof?" well, really, how? Is he a mind reader? is this is his gift? he chuckled and said "Yes darling, this is my gift, you guessed right" once again he licked his lips which made them, even more, redder. f**k f**k f**k "Oh please, stop cursing," he rolled his eyes but kept his damn smirk on his face. "You son of a bi*ch, get out of my head!" I furiously jumped up from my bed and pushed him out of the room, "Wow, little kitten, are you mad?" he teased me and chuckled, "Oh, f**k off" when he was finally outside I locked the door and went to the bathroom. Oh my god, so from the first day he was reading my thoughts!?

Why I am so lucky?

After doing my staff in the bathroom I went to the closet room to wear a uniform because today is Monday and I need to go to my classes. A uniform was the same as Maeve's. I made my hair in a high bun and run to my first class or third... oh, by the way, yesterday Maeve gave me my schedule so that I could go to the classes alone, but now I have left only two classes to attend...

My pre-last class was the History subject. When I opened the door I saw a teacher standing in the middle and explaining something, oh and I saw Maeve with Theo sitting in the end. "Ms. Campbell, don't be late next time," the teacher said. "Yes, I am sorry" she doesn't even know that I didn't attend two other classes, if she'd known, she probably would kill me. I sat near Maeve and she gave me a wide smile, "How night went?" she giggled, "Argh, don't ask" her smile fade away, "Oh, I am sorry" she crooked her face and began to comfort me "It's okay, let's forget about it, what about history?" I enthusiastically asked her, "Oh no, you really like history?" she grimaced, "Yeah, why not?"

"Nothing, I just suck in it" I patted her shoulder and began listening to the teacher. "Who knows, whose idea was to build the Beast Academy?" I hadn't time to revise the information but a girl on the first row answered, "It was an idea of Great Rosell Lightwood II!" she said correcting her big eyeglasses, "Correct Ms. Yung, it was an idea of Great Rosell Lightwood ll, she was the wife of Wilhelm Lightwood, he was the king of all beasts after his father - Roosevelt Lightwood" teacher said while walking side to side. "Fascinating," I breathed out. So, the Royal family is Lightwoods? Cool. Wait..it means that Alexander is Lightwood too? I put my hand up, to ask a question, "Yes, Ms. Campbell?" teacher stopped, looking at me "Can you tell us who was ruling after king Willhelm?"

"Yes of course, when king Willhelm died, his wife couldn't handle the death of her beloved so she killed herself on the other day. Willhelm and Rosell had two sons, Prince Philip the eldest son, and prince Ernest the youngest son or known as King Ernest Lightwood the father of our present king - Alexander Lightwood."

And what happened to Prince Philip? I am not prof in this whole royal staff but I thought the eldest son should be a king after his father. "Um..." The teacher annoyingly answered me once again, "Yes, Eveline" "What happened to the eldest prince?" when I asked this, everyone turned their heads to me, "Oh, you are new here, you don't know the story of King Philip and his dear wife Augusta...may they rest in peace, our king and queen" what she is talking about? "Can you please tell me about them?" I asked very curiously, "When Queen Augusta gave birth to a child, on that day North Hunters attacked the castle, King Philip, Queen Augusta, and their guard left the castle and ran into the forest. And suddenly... hunters killed them all..." everyone lowered their eyes...so this is what happened. "And King Ernest took the throne...right?" I whispered and she nodded still very sad about what happened to the royal family. "Okay, class, it's enough for today's lesson, I hope you enjoyed it, please read the given unit," the teacher said before everyone left the classroom.

"I didn't know that you are so nerdy" Maeve giggled while holding my hand, "Oh come on, I am not, besides I enjoyed learning about a royal family"

We were walking through the main hall, and suddenly I saw Zachary who was coming towards us. "Hey, can we talk?" he said looking into my eyes, I looked at Maeve, she nodded, "Sure." we left Maeve and Theo near my locker while Zachary and I went to the quiet place.

"Listen, I didn't mean to kiss you, it was all by the effect of the moon, I promise you!" by his voice you can tell he is not lying. "Who are you? A werewolf? to be affected by the full moon?" I asked sarcastically, "Well, I am a wolf shifter, is that counts?" he grinned and I couldn't handle my laugh. "You are an asshole, you know that?" I laughed, "Hundred percent" I laughed even harder at him which made him feel better. To be honest, I wasn't really mad at Zachary, he was kind and very attractive, plus he has a sense of humor. But still, I need time to open up myself to someone, even to him.

I and Zachary went to our class, it was a training class. We were outside and there was a sports mat in the center a shelf with different weapons and students who were fighting each other. I saw Maeve who was choosing her weapon. "Hey Zachary, I will come back to you later, alright?" I told him already going towards Maeve, "Sure" he whispered.

"Heeyy" I hugged her by the shoulders, "Oh, hey, wanna choose your weapon?" she asked me taking a step back from the shelf, wow, hundred percent this Academy is very different from humans. "Um...I don't know" I said unsure. For god's sake, I've never held a weapon. "Relax, just close your eyes and choose" I did as she told, when I opened my eyes I was holding... a snake bracelet? What? "A bracelet? um...Maeve?" I stood there confused.

"Oh, it is not just a bracelet, wear it, come on!" I wore a snake-shaped silver accessory, "Now feel it" what does she mean? I closed my eyes and tried to feel the bracelet. And then bracelet began to slide down to my hand until the end. "See!" I look down on my hand and saw a whip which was listening to me like a real snake, wow, a nice weapon for someone like me. "This is so cool!" I exclaimed, "Told ya, this weapon suits you, my weapon is a spear, Theo's is two axes, oh and your Zach's weapon is bow and arrows, he is really really good at it" she bit her lower lip looking at training Zachary, and for some reason I was jealous... "Oh stop it!" I groaned and we both laughed.
