GRADE 12,CLASS B
"You all should sit up and study, tomorrow is the internal CSAT mock exams and we are not tolerating any failure" Teacher Song, their homeroom teacher announced.
Almost all the students groaned.
"But Ma, we are being informed late" A male student said.
"Yes and it was done intentionally by the school or are you all trying to tell us that you have not been studying?" Their homeroom teacher asked.
However, no one replied.
"Get ready for tomorrow's exams, no classes for today, so make sure to read" Their homeroom teacher said and walked out of the class.
"What the heck is wrong with this school"
"Why the hell are we getting the news late?"
"The is no use in studying now cause I won't catch up"
"I guess that I will be pulling an all night reading"
The students murmured to themselves.
Sera immediately started studying her past questions. James, who was beside her started laughing.
"I wonder what amuses you every time" Sera said rolling her eyes.
"Well, you just looked very serious as you started studying " James said.
"So was I supposed to be crying?" Sera asked sarcastically.
"No,carry on with what you were doing " James replied before resting his head on the table and sleeping.
For a second, Sera thought that she saw something tired in his eyes but waved that thought off.
"He seems so unbothered about the exams " Sera said in her head.
"And here I was wondering that he will pass me" Sera muttered to herself and continued studying.
NEXT DAY
GRADE 12, CLASS B
"I hope everyone is ready for this exams" Their homeroom teacher asked.
"Yes ma" the class echoed.
Sera looked at James who was a few inches apart from her. James looked backed and smiled before whispering the word: "Pomeranian".
Sera rolled her eyes and looked back.
"He can't pass me" Sera muttered to herself, giving herself some words of comfort.
A part of her was a little bit afraid that he will pass her but the other part thought otherwise cause he looked so nonchalant about it yesterday. Even this morning,he looks so carefree. It annoys her that she can't figure out what he is thinking.
Their homeroom teacher shared their question papers and answer booklets to everyone.
"You can all start now and I wish every student good luck " Teacher Song said.
Immediately, every student opening their question paper and started answering.
Sera looked at James once more and noticed that he wasn't answering the questions but he was flipping his pen.
James looked at her and smiled, while she smirked back.
"What the heck was I afraid of?" Sera muttered to herself and immediately started answering the questions with ease.
It was 20 minutes later that James started answering the questions.
2 DAYS LATER
GRADE 12, CLASS B
"Guys,the result is out and it is posted on the school's billboard" A student announced and everyone ran out the class except for Sera who was listening to music with her earpiece on her ear.
However James wasn't there, he came to school but he left the class after the first lesson for the day.
Sera removed her earpiece and put it under her desk before walking out of the empty class.
She looked at the class window as her mirror and started arranging her hair,she already knows that she will be the center of attention soon and she needed to look cool.
When she was done, she walked straight to the hallway cause that was where the billboard was.
By the time she got there, it was so crowded, it was as if the juniors wanted to see the results as well cause some of them were there.
Sera hands started trembling a bit, not because she was scared of losing. But because she was scared of what it meant if she did.
However, the students were murmuring to themselves but she couldn't hear what they saying. As she was getting closer, a student saw her.
"She's here" the student announced.
Everyone turned looking at her, in fact creating a space for her to walk through.
Sera was not really that surprised cause she usually receive such a thing whenever results are out but something felt off, it was as if they were looking at her with pity.
Sera stood in front of the Billboard and looked at the number 1, PARK JAMES was written instead of her name.
Sera removed her glasses and cleaned her eyes before putting it on again. She looked at the number 1 on the billboard, it was still PARK JAMES written there.
"What the heck?" Sera screamed in her head.
She looked at the number 2 and saw her name, KIM SERA.
She looked at her and James total score,he passed her with 2 freaking marks.
Like, how the hell did he have 100% and she had 98%
"Wait on, how the hell did that nonchalant James pass me?" Sera asked, muttering to herself.

The words, "Don't go yet" kept on echoing in her head as she was running to that direction and finally, she could catch a glimpse of him.
At least,she could see him one more time.
