Even though I had only seen Coy for a short time that night, I still fell asleep with a smile on my lips. I couldn’t help but smile when I thought about our future together.
In only three days, we’d become man and wife. Coy had explained to me that I would need to pack as much as I could while being as discreet as possible.
After the marriage ceremony was to be performed by the local Justice of the Peace, Coy would take me to the used car lot to pick up the car that he’d bought me. And then we’d travel to Lubbock and move into the house his father had already bought him.
