Sam's P.O.V Our best friend. That could be him, yes. That would be the reason I remember his face. But his name? I have no idea. Not a clue. Do we want to approach them? Yes, how? No, why not? I just listened to his story. "So you and your pack have been living here for six years without a problem and without even needing an alpha?" The girl asked amazed. The boy nodded. "What were their names?" She then asked. "I don't know for sure but I think they were Sam and Jax." He said thinking. "Sam and Jax? They were your best friends, why don't you remember their names?" She asked. "It was six years ago. I haven't talked about them for a long time and no one in the pack talks about them. They are heroes to everyone but it is a sensitive subject for most of us since we lost many of our loved ones. Their father also left so all my living memories of them slowly started to fade." He said. "Damn it." I said. "Will they know where dad is? Or did he just leave." I asked Jac knowing he doesn't know either. "How do we ask." He asked. "Jump down?" I said jokingly. "Let's wait until they leave and follow them." He said and I agreed. "What more can you tell me about your past?" The girl said soft. "Not much, live was boring without the twins and not much happened." He said. "And why did you take me here?" She asked. He looked at the claw marks. The girl followed his gaze. "Are those your parent's marks?" She asked. "No, the twins' marks. I was there when they made them." He said. "I was picnicking with them and their parents. Their parents were like my second parents. They loved me and cared for me like mine did." He said. "But those marks are huge. They are adult marks and you haven't seen them for six years." She said staring at the marks. "Their claws are and will always be huge." He said. Then we heard a howl in the distance. The pair shot up and ran towards it. Jac and I jumped out to follow them. The pack house changed a lot from when we were there. It was bigger and better. Outside a wounded wolf was laying on the ground. "What the hell happened?" "Who is he?" "What's going on?" Many questions were being yelled at the same time. "How can we help him?" The girl asked. It is my nature to help people and I stepped in. "What are you doing?!" Jac asked but I went to him. I sniffed the wolf and noticed many wounds and broken bones. "Who the hell are you?" The girl said pushing me away. "Sam." The boy smiled and suddenly I remembered his name. "Shawn." I said. Jac joined us. "Hospital still open? Same pack doctor?" He asked Shawn. He nodded. "Then we have to carry him carefully because he has broken many bones." They brought him to the hospital and I looked around the house. I went down to the dungeons and see how it looked, if it was still the same. Jac was with me and we walked down the stairs. On our left we had our cell. The whole dungeon was restyled but that one cell was almost the same. Our marks were still on the walls. There was a small table and a big painting of Jac and me on the wall. On the table in front laid Jac's nail and many lit candles. "This whole cell is dedicated to you. You saved us and you made us free. We thought you deserved it." Shawn said standing behind us. The painting was really getting my attention. It was huge and over the whole wall. The wolves on the walls faced each other. They are big, black with long graceful hair. Even the scar was on the painting. Behind Jac was the sun and behind me was the moon. The dark and light met in the middle and was a lightning bold. It was beautiful. "It is amazing. Who even drew this." Jac asked. "Your father did before he left." Shawn said. We went back upstairs to see almost our whole pack standing there. "It's good to be home." I said and they cheered. "But," Jac broke the party-mood. "We were originally searching for our father." He said. "He left a year after you left." Shawn said. "Where is our family?" Jac asked. "Some 'royalty' stayed and some adored the alpha and left." Samantha, the pack doctor said as she stepped outside. "He is going to be fine, so how are you." She asked. "Fine, as you can see." I said. "Drinking enough?" She asked. We were very dehydrated as kids and we made sure to change that. "Can't stop drinking." Jac said. "How has the pack been doing without an alpha?" I asked. "Better than ever." Shawn said. I observed the people. "Adele, Kaia and Maia, Summer, Lee, Tristan, Rosanne, Ebony, Ben, May, Shawn, Samantha. All names pop up in my head like flowers in spring, each and everyone being beautiful on it's own but together making the most beautiful thing in the world. One flower I didn't meet yet. Shawn's mate." I said walking towards the girl. "Zoe." She said. "Nice to meet you, Zoe. Sam." I said as I slightly bowed my head. She smiled. "You better make Shawn happy or I'll make you unhappy." I smiled and she shivered. Shawn hugged her from behind and gritted his teeth. "Don't worry Shawn. I have faith in her. In her and you." I said. "You can't keep scaring our friends' mates. You did the same with Oliver and now Ruth is afraid of me, because of you." I laughed at him. "Don't worry Zoe, don't be afraid of us, only me if you hurt Shawn." I laughed but with some serious tone. She kind of awkward smiled at me and held on to Shawn as tight as possible. She loved him and we all knew that from the beginning. "So, what have you been up to these past six years?" Kaia asked. Kaia and Maia were the other twins. The pack had two twins and we were one of them and the most dangerous. They were sweeties but softies. "Rescuing and killing." I said. "Exploring the world, finding a friend who is way older than us who lost his mate because of their alpha and we took him down, the three of us. Starting a base to take in and take care of rogues in need. The base is two months running. I think four months for you." Jac said. I rolled my eyes. "You can also explain it like that, but I like mine more." I said and we laughed. We decided to throw a party this night.
