Hunting

::3rd Person POV::     The night was replacing the day light. The sun was setting to slumber while the moon rose for its shift. The night got deadly quiet between Sarah and Melody after receiving Megan's wake up call. She didn't know how to counter what she had said, Melody could not give any advice either. But both were extremely irritated and decided to indulge in sweets. Because stressed backwards spells desserts, or was it meant to be a phrase in another way?     It was 11:30pm when Melody moaned a big yawn.     ''I'm sorry Luna, but I have work tomorrow are you going to be okay just staying in here and wait for the alpha?''     That could not have been a better excuse to start Jen's hunt.     ''Not at all, and stop calling me Luna, just call me Sarah as always.'' Sarah smiled.     ''I know Sarah,'' Melody snuggled under her sheets, ''I just like addressing you Luna, because you do fit the title.'' and she drifted off to sleep.     Am I though? Sarah thought to herself.     She allowed time to pass by to ensure that Melody was fully in deep sleep. The moon rose to its peak and Melody was gently snoring away. Sarah then sat comfortable in a purple bean bag in the corner away from Melody.     Ready?      ''Let's do this.'' Jen nodded.     Sarah leaned back into the chair, she let her mind drift into silence, meditating her body to feel light. Her eyes remained closed and her vision tunneled into complete darkness. The parallel plane opened, Sarah's body stayed still, yet her conscience active. The stars of the night sky released into the she wolves figure. Jen's spirit emerged from Sarah's body.     ''I'm on the prowl, let's hunt.'' she howled.     ''Just don't do anything risky,'' Sarah mind linked her.     Jen proceeded to leap out the door, down the halls, and soon out of the mansion. She sniffed the floor for clues around the courtyard under neath the balcony. There was no clue. Maybe they climbed the walls? Jen gallantly leaped onto the balcony of Drake's bedroom.      ''This scent.'' she continued to sniff.     ''It's too long gone to verify what it is.'' Jen lowered her head in defeat.     ''But someone was there.'' Sarah encouraged.     ''Yes, there were three to be exact, that's why I can't puzzle it together. Wait-'' she sniffed more intensely, ''-is that wolf bane?''     The stench got absorbed into her snout and a foul burning sensation caused her to whimper and shed teary eyes.      ''This is not good Sarah, someone is definitely trying to get you at a vulnerable moment.'' Jen warned.     Sarah agreed and pressed on to continue the hunt.     Once again Jen leaped onto the edges and made her way to the roof. The cold night breeze gathered and blew through her fur. She took a deep inhale of nature's scent. She began to scan the area and she caught sight of a piece of cloth. It was ragged and old, its scent not familiar at all, but it was yet another clue. There were no signs of the scents from earlier, but Jen figured they had traveled against the wind. They wanted to leave without a trace, but a torn piece of clothing was a red flag.      Jen sat in silence, allowing the moon to illuminate on her pelt. Her black husky coating shimmered like the stars. She felt relieved to be let out from Sarah's mind. The breeze of winter was definitely going away, Jen suspected that it would have been a perfect opportunity for surveillance since the snow will melt, and the new earth will cover up any tracks or smells. Whoever had come tonight, had done so prepared.      ''What if they saw us!'' Jen heard Sarah scream.     Jen's spirit began to become unstable. Glitching and stumbling Jen hissed back at Sarah.     ''Stop it! If you keep that up we will have to abort!''     Jen still felt the uneasiness of Sarah's concentration, but it had become stable enough to keep going. Jen decided to go around the territory, maybe more clues were beyond the mansion. She made her way downtown and decided to check up on people she did know. First, she scouted the pack's hospital. No advancing evidence was found. She roamed the streets, panting and strutting onward. Her paws left no marks on the thinned out snow. She sniffed the air once more.     ''Is that Billy I smell?'' Jen wagged her tail in excitement.     She quietly peeped through the window. Oh it was indeed Billy's scent alright, but it was combining with Janet's also! Jen blinked a few times and froze. Billy and Janet were going at it!     Billy was kissing her neck ever so gently. His hands slowly caressing her from her shoulders down to her arms. Janet soaked in all of the lustful heat he was emitting. She also guided Billy's hands over her plump chest. She pressed them and rubbed them in circles, also giving him access to her marked spot.     What are you doing?! Stop looking! Sarah panicked.     ''Maybe you should take some notes.'' Jen joked.     But she refused to leave, something was telling her to stay. The concentration was near impossible to stay stable because Sarah wasn't sure peaking on her best friend going at it was a good idea. Or at least a comfortable one at that.      Janet began to strip off the lingerie she had on. Billy tugged against the bra strap and dropped it loose along her arms. Janet continued to pull it off and revealed her soft breasts. Her n*****s were light pink, it suited her almost pale white skin. Her golden locks bounced behind her body, and her blue eyes sparkled, totally focused on her mate.      I'm so happy things worked out between them. Sarah admitted.     ''You might want to rethink that.'' Jen's ears shot back.     What do you mean?! Sarah questioned.     Jen averted her eyes and focused behind the two couples. Sarah tried to focus as well. Once she did she gasped in disbelief. On the coat hanger just behind them was a coat. A coat with the same color as the cloth Jen had found on the roof tonight! And it did have a similar tore on the right shoulder area. Jen confirmed the scent was the same. Sarah couldn't believe it! Was Janet out to get her?! Why? What could she have done wrong? Was it because of Billy? But, they barely spoke or not at all ever did!      Jen crept away from the window and the stars above started buzzing uncontrollably.     ''Time's up,'' she alerted.     No! Sarah begged. There has to be something else!     The stars crashed into Jen's spirit and she was flung back wards at extreme speed. Her spirit flew back and found its way back to Sarah, where the impact of rejoining caused her to choke on her breath. Her eyes wide open, her breath unsteady, had also woken up Melody.     ''Are you okay Sarah?'' Melody worriedly asked.     Sarah controlled her breathing, although it was not so easy to control her heart rate, ''Yeah, just had a bad dream.'' she lied.     Melody mumbled something inaudible before fluffing her pillow and returning to her slumber.      ''That was close.''     ''We need to practice this more. Apparently, you still aren't emotionally strong enough to do a full hunt!'' Jen complained.     She was right though. ::Drake's POV::     It was already past 1am, I better check up on Sarah. I reached into my pockets for my phone.     f**k.     I forgot I had given it to her, but wasn't able to get it back. No matter, I'll just get her myself.     ''And continue where we left off at.'' Terry suggested.     Not a bad idea at all. I fist bumped to the idea.     Ah, Sarah, despite you having the blood of a wolf you sure act more of a cat. Hissing and scratching at me to leave you alone, yet purring and curled into a ball in my arms. I don't get you, but you damn hell are mesmerizing.      I exited the office and made way to the west wing. She was to be with Melody and knowing Melody had work later today she must be asleep, I was just hoping Sarah was still in the same room. The panic that was building up had subsided as I opened Melody's door. My beloved looked at me and signaled she was ready to go.     ''Good night Melody.'' she cooed.     A mumbled response from Melody was received. I held the door open for her and allowed her to lead us back to our room. It was a silent walk back, but it wasn't a long one so I didn't mind. However, my guts was telling me something was off about her.     ''You okay love?'' I asked.     ''Y-yeah, just had a bad dream.'' she was lying.     I could have just mind linked her, but if she didn't want me to know then I had to respect that much of her privacy. Besides, I was already backed up with work to begin with. There are too many contracts and documents that needed urgent attention. One of them was a reminder of the King of Alpha's meeting on February 20th. I haven't seen him in a while it had been since the time I took duties as Alpha leader for the Crimson Red Pack. I didn't enjoy that experience however. There were too many things regulated and my expected reform was decided without my say.     ''Let's get some rest.'' I hopped into bed.     She did not move.     ''I'm scared.'' was her reply.     I looked over to the window, then back at her, and understood why.      ''What do you want to do?'' I asked.     She stood there timidly looking away, something was definitely bothering her. She was biting back her tongue. But, in the midst of all that she looked kinda cute! Her slight bed head hair cascaded beside her face. That unsure pout of her lips and averting beautiful eyes somehow got me sorta aroused.     ''Don't even think about it.'' her face changed instantly.     ''Whatever could she mean?'' Terry said sarcastically.      ''Sorry, I- I just can't help myself.'' I admitted.     She folded her arm and gently bit her bottom lip in shyness. She began to make her way to the windows and locked them. She closed the curtains and made sure everything was secured before joining me at the edge of the bed.     ''You've always been outspoken and honest with me,'' she sighed, ''Was there ever a time you had to hide something to protect me?''     ''Well...'' I lifted my shoulders, ''There was the whole Megan thing.''     She looked dumbfounded.     ''But baby,'' I locked eyes with her, ''I learned it's better to regret knowing than not knowing.''     As she settled into small spoon mode I had to resist the urge of listening to my damn wolf's desire. But I get it, we are now mates, we were pretty sure our wolves were fed up with our stalling.     ''I  hunted tonight.'' she whispered.     What?     ''But you were with Melody the whole time.'' I lifted an eyebrow.     ''No,'' she sighed and turned towards me, ''I 'hunted'.''     What the fu-
