I wasn't comfortable with the idea of spending the night there, next to King Alpha, but I wanted him to be okay, so I gave in.
I have to confess that being in his arms is comforting, but I can't let myself get any more involved than I already was.
After the Alpha King fell asleep, and cuddled up to me, it didn't take me long to fall asleep too, even though I'd slept well during the day.
“I'll end you... he'll never be yours,” I woke up hearing these words, which were repeated like a mantra, whispered in an unfamiliar female voice.
Suddenly, I began to feel suffocated, as if someone was hanging me, and I tried futilely to free myself.
When I realized that my strength was running out, I heard King Alpha's voice and realized that I was having a nightmare.
